La primavera espanola del movimiento 15M
In: Política y gobierno, Volume 20, Issue 2
ISSN: 1665-2037
One year after the birth of the 15M movement in Spain, an analysis from a sociological perspective can be attempted. To do so, the best approach to the phenomenon demands an examination of public perceptions in relation to the institutional political system throughout a qualitative methodology based on observation and discourse analysis of the participants. Meetings have attended and social networks materials have been scrutinized. The results show that this movement cannot be understood without being familiar to the citizens' previous perception of political institutions and making a connection with the results of the economic crisis, rising unemployment and the perception citizens have of the financial markets.
