Este trabajo analiza las crisis planteadas y resueltas por el personaje de Olivia Pope y sus trabajadores, en los 29 capítulos de las dos primeras temporadas de la serie de televisión Scandal. Cada uno de ellos está inspirado en crisis reales y suponen una brillante exposición de cómo comunicar e informar. Además, la serie aborda diferentes tipologías de crisis: personales, institucionales, empresariales, políticas, militares, sanitarias. Lejos de ser una ficción televisiva, puede erigirse como vehículo didáctico para aprender y enseñar a comunicar. Para demostrarlo, se expondrán las crisis y cómo se resuelven, aludiendo a teorías de la historia de la comunicación. ; This paper analyzes the crises raised and resolved by the character of Olivia Pope and her workers in the 29 chapters of the first two seasons of the TV series Scandal. Each one is inspired by real crisis and is a brilliant exposition of how to communicate and inform. In addition, the TV series focuses on different types of crisis: personal, institutional, corporate, political, military, health. Far from being a television fiction, can be erected as a vehicle for learning and teaching to communicate. To prove it, we will present crises and how they are resolved, alluding to theories of the history of communication.

Este artículo pretende mostrar los resultados de una amplia investigación acerca de las series de televisión sobre médicos, que han sido emitidas en los veinte últimos años. El origen del análisis es fruto de una tesis doctoral, defendida en el mes de julio de 2010. Dentro de ese formato de ficción, se han elegido las diecinueve series de producción norteamericana, estrenadas en España. Las razones de esta elección se deben a varias ideas: la posible función didáctica de los sanitarios televisivos y una nueva vía potencial para educar, o no, a los ciudadanos en materia de nutrición y gastronomía. Además, consideramos que Estados Unidos es el país más interesante a estudiar por dos razones: exporta sus productos televisivos a todo el mundo y cuenta con altos índices de obesidad, que podría paliar desde la prevención y la educación nutricional en la pequeña pantalla.

Communication and health manuals about ethics have been relegated to the Faculties of Medicine and Nursing. This proposal aims to break this tradition and bring these studies to the powers of communication, where we have research tools and research methodologies really valuable. For example, medical TV series include a wide field of study. In this paper, we study the North American medical series, released in Spain until 2010. Its writers take their inspiration from the press, the reality and the issues that concern to society. Therefore provide important portraits treatment of AIDS, cancer, abortion, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, informed consent, data protection, patient privacy, organ transplantation or communication of bad news. For qualitative analysis, we have used the theories of Ole Holsti; Communication Strategies identified by Ray Eldon Hiebert; the definition of Ethics, Moral and Political by Gustavo Bueno; and classification of the dependency relationships that distinguished Sánchez Corredera. The results show that this kind of fiction is so close to reality that influences the spectator as possible patient or patient's family. ; Los manuales de comunicación y de ética sanitaria han quedado relegados a las facultades de Medicina y de Enfermería. Esta investigación pretende romper esa tradición y llevar esos estudios a las facultades de comunicación, donde contamos con herramientas y metodologías de investigación realmente valiosas. Por ejemplo, las series de televisión de médicos suponen un amplio terreno de estudio. Estudiaremos las series norteamericanas de médicos, estrenadas en España, hasta 2010. Los guionistas toman su inspiración de la prensa, de la realidad, de los asuntos que interesan a la sociedad. Por ello, ofrecen importantes retratos del tratamiento del sida, el cáncer, el aborto, el Parkinson, el Alzheimer, el consentimiento informado, la protección de datos, la intimidad del paciente, el trasplante de órganos o la comunicación de malas noticias. Hay teóricos y periodistas que desconocen o han olvidado las diferencias entre ética, política y moral. Pasan por alto su etimología, origen y verdadera definición. Atendiendo a su raíz y a los estudios más actuales de Gustavo Bueno, Silverio Sánchez Corredera y David Alvargonzález, estudiaremos en este artículo las relaciones conflictivas entre ética, moral y política en las series de televisión Sí, ministro y Sí, primer ministro. El enfoque para ese análisis se basa en el estudio del caso de la Harvard Business School, aplicado sólo a la relación de los personajes con los medios de comunicación. Los objetivos son diagnosticar posibles problemas de comunicación, interpretar las soluciones a través de lo que ofrecen los personajes, y ofrecer esos ejemplos para que los estudiantes de comunicación de hoy discutan y lleguen a soluciones para esos conflictos. ; There are theorists and journalists who are unaware or have forgotten the differences between ethics, morals and politics. They overlook its etymology, origin and true definition. Given its roots and current studies of Gustavo Bueno, Silverio Sanchez and David Alvargonzalez, we discuss in this article the conflicting relations between ethics, morals and politics in the television series Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister. The approach to this analysis is based on case study from the Harvard Business School, applied only to the relationship of the characters with the media. The objectives are to diagnose any communication problems, interpret the solutions through the characters what they offer and provide these examples for today's communication students to discuss and arrive at solutions to these conflicts. ; Il y a des théoriciens et des journalistes qui méconnaissent ou ont oublié les différences entre l'éthique, la morale et la politique. Ils négligent son étymologie, son origine et sa véritable définition. Compte tenu de ses racines et des études en cours de Gustavo Bueno, Silverio Sánchez Corredera et David Alvargonzalez, nous débattrons dans cet article la relation conflictuelle entre l'éthique et la morale et la politique dans la série télévisée Yes, Minister et Yes, Prime Minister. L'approche de cette analyse est basée sur l'étude de cas de la Harvard Business School, appliquée uniquement à la relation des personnages avec les médias. Les objectifs sont de diagnostiquer des problèmes de communication, et d´interpréter les solutions à travers des personnages et ce qu'ils offrent et pouvoir offrir ces exemples afin que les étudiants en communication d'aujourd'hui discutent et parviennent à solutionner ces conflits.

This research analyses the image and style of the Spanish political woman, as a basis for her communication and key to her professional success. Firstly, we reviwed the state of the question on the elements used in our qualitative research, detailing the image of two active Spanish women politicians. They are Cristina González Calvar, general secretary of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) in Álava, and Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, vice president and minister of the Presidency and for the Territorial Administrations of the Government chaired by Mariano Rajoy (Popular Party, PP). Secondly, we have done a quantitative research, with an interview of four questions, answered by a hundred professionals of communication, image and advice of spokespersons. The main objective is to show that women politicians should not show a better image on the basis of aesthetic data, but should be comfortable with that image to project greater credibility. ; Esta investigación analiza la imagen y el estilo de la mujer política española, como base de su comunicación y clave de su éxito profesional. En primer lugar, se ha revisado el estado de la cuestión sobre los elementos utilizados en la investigación cualitativa, al detallar la imagen de dos mujeres políticas españolas en activo. Son Cristina González Calvar, secretaria general del Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) en Álava, y Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, vicepresidenta y ministra de la Presidencia y para las Administraciones Territoriales del Gobierno presidido por Mariano Rajoy (Partido Popular, PP). En segundo lugar, se ha hecho una investigación cuantitativa, con una entrevista de cuatro preguntas, contestadas por un centenar de profesionales de comunicación, imagen y asesoría de portavoces. El objetivo principal es demostrar que las mujeres políticas no deben lucir una mejor imagen atendiendo a datos estéticos, sino que deben estar a gusto con esa imagen para proyectar mayor credibilidad.

March 8, 2018 has been a historic landmark in the Feminism History in Spain. The peaceful demonstrations collapsed the center of the Spanish capital, Madrid, for hours, gathering 170,000 people according to the Government Delegation and more than 600,000 people, according to The organizers. In other capitals and cities, equally large numbers of data were recorded: between 200,000 and 600,000 people in Barcelona; more than 100,000 people in Seville, Valencia, Bilbao or Zaragoza, respectively. It is estimated, according to official data of unions and employers, that more than 6 million Spanish women seconded the strike in their jobs; among them, journalists from national, public and private media. The headlines and political analysis summarized the day as a revolutionary historical day. The link, before, during and after 8-M were the hashtags. These viral labels became national and international trending topics and achieved that the follow-up of the strike, the influx of protesters and the media coverage exceeded all the organizers' forecasts. This research delves into the reasons of that success from the new cultural and social produsage, production among equals, or new multilateral, active and participatory communication of Spanish women in social networks. The starting hypothesis is that hashtags on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn summarize and combine wills to create a new political and social debate. They are the best call of attention to gather similar feelings and demands. And they work as new quantifiable bulwarks of female leadership, because their use in social networks is far superior to the traditional passive audience, which can receive any news, report or interview. A deepfake is a video that superimposes the face of one person on the body of another. It is possible thanks to free and easy-to-use algorithms. It has been used, eminently, to create pornographic videos, with the face of famous actresses. But it attacks the image of anyone, constructing a falsified and perverse imaginary. To validate it, a double methodology is used: longitudinal bibliographic exploration on the origin of this type of fake; and quantitative and correlational investigation, of Google Spain searches. The results confirm the deepfake as a way of discrediting, insulting and vilifying women. Women star in erotic scenes and are reified. Men give speeches of humour or politics, move the action, hold the power and are dressed. ; Un deepfake es un vídeo que superpone la cara de una persona en el cuerpo de otra. Es posible gracias a algoritmos gratuitos y fáciles de usar. Se ha empleado, eminentemente, para crear vídeos pornográficos, con el rostro de actrices famosas. Pero atenta contra la imagen cualquiera, construyendo un imaginario falsificado y perverso. Para validarlo, se emplea una metodología doble: exploración bibliográfica longitudinal sobre el origen de este tipo de fake; e indagación cuantitativa y correlacional, de las búsquedas en Google España. Los resultados confirman el deepfake como vía de descrédito, injuria y vilipendio contra las mujeres. Ellas protagonizan escenas eróticas y son cosificadas. Ellos pronuncian discursos de humor o política, mueven la acción, ostentan el poder y van vestidos.

Se investigan las mujeres en el cine comercial español: directoras y personajes. Metodología. Se estudian fuentes primarias y secundarias; se analizan, de forma cuantitativa y diacrónica, las películas españolas más taquilleras, entre 2001 y 2016; se examinan, de manera cualitativa y descriptiva, protagonistas, tramas y estereotipos, de un corpus de 26 películas. Resultados. El género dominante es la comedia. Hay 36 protagonistas masculinos y 23 femeninos. El grupo gira en torno a los deseos de varones. Discusión. Ellos mueven la acción y son antihéroes, con sentimentalidad infrarrepresentada. Las mujeres son acompañantes, con acciones de cuidados y mediación familiar. Conclusiones. En España, ninguna mujer ha dirigido película que haya recaudado más de 10 millones de euros. La realidad no cambiará mientras no cambie la representación. El cine comercial puede construir ciudadanos cívicos, respetuosos, humanos; y no meros consumidores, que respondan a intereses mercantiles de la industria cinematográfica.

The relationship between fiction and politics is palpable in hundreds of film titles, from the birth of cinema to the present day. Democratic spectacularization, or politainment, is vital in political communication, inspired by fiction, and vice versa. As can be seen when producers create social networks accounts for politicians –characters of their series- who make actual but calculated commentary on real politics. Cinema becomes an inspiration and, at the same time, a reflection of reality. Given the type of political films of Christensen and Haas (2005) and specifically, the type of pure political film, we taped five American films, stuck to the environment of their time and clairvoyants of the spectacularization that would come later. They are The Candidate (1972), Power (1986), Wag the dog (1997), Primary Colors (1998) and The idus of March, of five different decades. All deal with the use and handling of appearances and spectacle as a way to gain power or consolidate it. They confirm that politics is conditioned by the media, spectacle and public skepticism. ; La relación entre la ficción y la política es palpable en cientos de títulos cinematográficos, desde el nacimiento del cine hasta nuestros días. La espectacularización democrática, o politainment, es vital en la comunicación política, inspirada por la ficción, y viceversa. El cine se convierte en inspiración y, al mismo tiempo, reflejo de la realidad, como queda de manifiesto, por ejemplo, en que las productoras abran cuentas de redes sociales para políticos ficticios –personajes de sus series- que hacen comentarios muy calculados sobre política real. Atendiendo a la tipología de películas políticas de Christensen y Haas (2005) y concretamente, al tipo de film político puro, desgranamos cinco cintas norteamericanas, íntimamente relacionadas con el entorno de su momento y precursoras visionarias de la espectacularización que vendría después a caracterizar a la industria del cine. This paper studies gender policies on the media in Spain, analyzing what exists and what is missing in this area. Specifically, we look for the need for media professionals to regulate language. To do this, we propose a historical analysis of the statements of intent and the equality legislation including social media and women, from the Declaration of the Rights of Women and the Citizen Declaration of Olympia de Gouges to the most recent actions of the UN and the European Union. Also, we reflect on the current Spanish laws that take into account the media, focusing on those plots lacking provisions. To do this, we use as a methodology a relevant literature review and the results of a focus group meeting with Spanish journalists working for the most important Spanish media. These professionals, largely without specific training on gender issues, recount their experiences in camera, the editorial line or the sexist language they use or are sometimes forced to use, and we propose new lines of ethical and deontological rules concerning gender, and specific training in communication and gender. ; El presente artículo pretende estudiar las políticas de género sobre medios de comunicación en España, analizando qué existe y qué falta en esta materia. Plantea la necesidad de regulación del lenguaje por parte de las y los profesionales de los medios de comunicación, para lo cual se realiza un análisis histórico de las declaraciones de intenciones y de la legislación de igualdad que incluye a los medios de comunicación social y a las mujeres, desde la Declaración de los Derechos de la Mujer y de la Ciudadana de Olympe de Gouges, hasta las acciones más recientes de la ONU y de la Unión Europea. This study aims to revive an overlooked and silenced part of the history of World War I: the role of women. To this end, specialized sources have been consulted to speak of women in war line and in the rear, in jobs that men left necessarily to go fight. The war halted some progress made so far, especially in terms of universal suffrage. However, the social and political consequences of the war also changed the traditional gender stereotypes and gave way to a new modern woman, which was not confined to living in the private sphere of home. ; Este estudio pretende revivir una parte obviada y silenciada de la historia de la Primera Guerra Mundial: el papel de la mujer. Para ello, se han consultado fuentes especializadas que hablaran de las mujeres en la línea de guerra y en la retaguardia, en los puestos de trabajo que abandonaron forzosamente los hombres para ir a combatir. El conflicto bélico paralizó algunos adelantos conseguidos hasta entonces, sobre todo en materia de sufragio universal. Sin embargo, las consecuencias sociales y políticas de la guerra también modificaron los estereotipos tradicionales de género y dieron paso a una nueva mujer moderna, que no se limitaba a vivir en el ámbito privado del hogar.

The objective of this paper is to analyze the relationship between the media and major religions, practiced in Spain and, in particular, Islam. As a secondary objective, is to open new lines of research and highlight the importance of the matter. The information is socialization service. Therefore, we must respect the political, ideological, social and cultural differences. In the case of the cultural environment, religion is one of the variables to consider in the practice of correct information, avoiding clichés and not respectful actions towards some of its faithful followers. If you want to be objective, you have to be respectful. Knowing the religions practiced in the country is a better fit in the information processing. The media are transmitters of values and these, in turn, socialize the audience. ; El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la relación entre medios de comunicación y religiones mayoritarias, que se practican en España y, en concreto, el Islam. Como objetivo secundario, se pretende abrir nuevas líneas de investigación y remarcar la importancia del asunto. La información es un servicio de socialización. Por ello, se deben respetar las diferencias políticas, ideológicas, sociales y culturales. En el caso del entorno cultural, la religión es una de las variables a considerar en la práctica de la correcta información, evitando clichés y acciones no respetuosas hacia algunos de sus fieles. Si se quiere ser objetivo, hay que ser respetuoso. Conocer las religiones que se practican en el país supone una mejor adecuación en el tratamiento de la información. Los medios son transmisores de valores y estos, a su vez, socializadores de la audiencia.
