Resumen En este artículo se examina la composición social de las milicias entrerrianas durante la construcción del Estado autónomo entre los años 1820 y 1828. Las milicias desempeñaron un papel importante como fuerza defensiva y de reserva en la provincia de Entre Ríos, compuestas por labradores que provenían, mayoritariamente, de áreas de ocupación tardía: Nogoyá, la Matanza (actual Victoria) y Raíces. En variadas oportunidades traeremos a colación múltiples deserciones militares –una forma de resistencia–, articulándolas con un verosímil impacto social en la compleja sociedad rural entrerriana, haciendo escala en la injerencia institucional manifiesta en leyes, decretos y acuerdos que promueve un Estado en formación. ; Abstract This article discusses social composition of the militias entrerrianas during the constitution of Autonomous State between 1820 and 1828. The militias played an important role as a defensive force and as a reserve from the province of Entre Ríos, composed the farmers they came, mostly, of areas occupation belated: Nogoyá, la Matanza (actual Victoria) y Raíces. Child welfare in Argentina is approached by first discussing the severe crisis affecting the Latin American and Caribbean Region generally. Economic and social factors, especially population size and high unemployment, have led to a situation in which millions of people live in conditions of critical poverty and depressing indigence. Attention is directed towards regional development strategy and the norms, values and factual components which comprise the three-part structure of the juridical system. Legal access to justice, legislation and culture, sectoral partiality and minors' justice are crucial to the situation of children and families in Latin America and the Caribbean. The second part of the article concentrates on children and family law in Argentina. The significant aspects of Argentine law are briefly discussed. Changes in the composition and structure of socialization patterns and the Argentine family are examined. Finally, future directions for family policy in Latin America are outlined.

Burnout is a serious problem that can be expressed as psychological symptoms, such as depressive mood. Earlier studies have shown that feelings of guilt appear to be involved in the burnout process. However, the exact nature of the relationships among burnout, guilt, and depression is unclear. The purpose of this study was to test the mediator role of guilt in the relationship between burnout and depression. The sample of this cross-sectional study consisted of 700 employees working with intellectually disabled persons. Hypotheses were tested together in a path model. Two models were constructed to test the relationships among the variables. The difference between the models was the order of the Guilt-Depression relationship. The Hypothesized model (i.e., Indolence → Guilt → Depression) showed an adequate fit to data, and all hypothesized relationships were significant. The fit of the Alternative model (i.e., Indolence → Depression → Guilt) was worse than the fit of the Hypothesized model. The hypothesized model offers a good representation of the relationships among burnout, guilt, and depression. The results point to recommending the incorporation of the evaluation of guilt as a symptom of burnout, in order to perform a more complete diagnosis and discriminate among subjects affected by burnout.

Este artículo analiza, desde la perspectiva lingüística y la semiótica textual, la naturaleza sígnica y las características estéticas del cuento "La mujer" de Juan Bosch. Premisa: el maestro, para el cumplimiento de su misión de desarrollar habilidades, orientar las inquietudes heurísticas del educando, guiar su sentido crítico, y desarrollar su capacidad de valoración, depende del trabajo de investigadores y científicos de las más diversas áreas. El maestro que tiene que ver con la actividad lingüística o literaria dependía del psicólogo y del lingüista hasta hace poco. Hoy depende también de la labor del experto en semiótica, del estudioso de la comunicación y de la informática, ya que su misión no es la de recitador de historia o de teoría literaria, sino la de formar el gusto, desarrollar habilidades lingüísticas, perceptivas o expresivas. En conclusión, el cuento de Bosch analizado es una pieza compleja, construida mediante elementos semánticos y simbólicos, por lo que el lector se encuentra trasladado a un mundo de tensiones, a un mundo coherente, creado por la pluma de un escritor genial.
