This essay focuses on the issue of the Christian Zionist movement in the United States and tries to understand the growing alliance that unites the American evangelical movement and the Jewish Right, both in the USA and Israel, in the same staunch support for a biblical Eretz Israel or Greater Israel. The article reviews the historical and ideological roots of this alliance (the first philosemite and restaurationist currents as well as religious theories such as millenialism) and its various shapes (the various organisations and key figures that make up the movement, the way it works and gets organized, and also its common ground with neoconservatives) then questions the impact and influence of the movement.
