The processes of capitalist globalization carry major threats to many communities & to many population sectors of different societies, as well as to the expression of identity previously acquired by them. However, these processes give way to opportunities for new & more flexible ways for people to construct their own identity & to conform as subjects through distinct forms of individuality & social & cultural collectiveness. Presented in illustration are two case studies of ethnocultural politicization in Mexico. 22 References. Adapted from the source document.
