This study examines some of the most characteristic and significant examples of competitive physical games that took place in the cities of the centre and the north of Italy in the Middle Ages. The study of the Castilian royal Chancery's evolution under King Alfonso VIII allows us to draw certain conclusions on the role of individual members of that office in the process of drafting royal documents. We will present a detailed description of preambles, their elaboration and evolution in time and by the hands of different scriptores. This will also allow us to gauge the balance between tradition and innovation within the Chancery. A more thorough grasp of the scope of political propaganda at the time can be determined through the image of the ideal king as depicted both in literary sources and in Chancery documents within the wider context of cultural developments in the Castilian court.

For local e-government to become a reality, all the elements of the ecosystem must be in place. We search for the elements which constitute the ecosystem, both from the citizen and from the city council point of view, with the electronic identity card (eID) as the core. In order to find out the main deficiencies in the system and to propose solutions, we need to quantify the present situation of each element: from city and county councils websites where eID is needed to use the services offered to the number of eID and compatible readers owned by citizens. According to the latest data, only 2% of the population owns an eID reader: this is the weakest element of our ecosystem.

This paper aims to compose a general panorama over the image of princess Urraca of Leon-Castile as it appears and evolves in the context of Medieval Castilian cronicles. Her outstanding role in Castilian politics of the late 11th century has been object to much attention on the part of historians ever since. In particular, she is to be remembered in connection to the murder of the Castilian king Sancho II, her brother, before the walls of Zamora. This crucial turning point in Iberian history was embroidered in legendary epics, leading to a wide accusation against Urraca as an inductor to her brother's assassination. The present paper is concerned with a critical examination of the medieval cronicles, so as to verify and trace the progress and oscillations about the construction of Urraca's posterity on behalf of Sancho's death.

Spanish television in the 1980s was a public issue fraught with controversy. The submission of RTVE to the government caused political parties and private media to be very critical of TVE. This article analyzes for the first time all the questions that the deputies of the different political formations posed in the Control Commission of RTVE to José María Calviño, first general director of the Spanish public radio and television in the mandate of Felipe González. To this end, a content analysis has been applied to all the Commission's session diaries of the time, classifying each of the questions according to subjects, dates and political parties. The research shows how the opposition political parties used this body to wear down the government politically, making television issues one of the axes of national politics.

This research analyses the discourse on Twitter surrounding the "Ferrerasgate" scandal involving the Spanish journalist Antonio García Ferreras, director and host of the television show Al Rojo Vivo (La Sexta, Spanish TV channel). It examines the main object of criticism, the tone of the discourse, the argumentation made by users, as well as the existence of hate in their rhetoric. The tweets included in the study's sample (N = 2,846), posted between 5 and 15 July 2022 and extracted on 16 July 2022, were examined in two complementary phases. The first entailed a quantitative content analysis of the messages and the second analysed whether hate speech was found in the sample as a whole. The Sketch Engine tool was used to determine whether "crypto hate speech" existed in the sample as a whole, and to whom it was targeted. The results reveal that "Ferrerasgate" sparked a debate that spilt over into journalism across the board, calling into question the media's role in a democracy. The most prominent arguments were the condemnation of misinformation, lack of independence, and absence of professionalism in the journalism sector. It should be noted that most of the messages were destructive in tone; hate was found in the tweets analysed, although these did not represent a high percentage in relation to the total sample.
Spanish television changed forever January 25th 1990 due to the arrival of the first private TV networks.
