The aim of this article was to conduct a questionnaire based survey on the choice of material used by dentists in Chennai for paediatric restorations. The prevalence of dental caries in the pediatric population is on the rise due to the changing dietary habits with current lifestyle trends. As a result, dentists have to choose the most appropriate restorative material based on criteria such as site of the lesion, patient cooperation, aesthetics, anti-cariogenicity, biocompatibility and mechanical properties. A questionnaire was prepared and randomly distributed to 114 dentists (general practitioners and specialists) in Chennai working in teaching institutions, government hospitals, private hospitals and private dental clinics. The survey form consisted of 10 questions in multiple choice format. The data was tabulated in spreadsheets and statistical analysis was done to obtain the results. Group responses were summarized and comparisons were made made using Pearson Chi Square test. The results showed that 109 dentists (95.6%) used glass ionomer cement most frequently for restoring primary teeth whereas 5 dentists (4.4%) used composite. Significant variation (p=0.018) was seen in the choice of material for restoring proximal lesions where GIC is used by 57.9% dentists followed by SSC (33.3%). As a wide range of restorative materials are now available, this survey will provide a better understanding about the most convenient and preferred materials by dentists.

This book explores how modern yoga became transformed from a largely countercultural phenomenon to a part of pop culture when entrepreneurs became strategic participants in a global market and succeeded in "selling yoga" by establishing continuity between their yoga brands and the dominant demands of consumer culture. Although the book focuses on the most widely consumed yoga systems, those of postural yoga, it compares a diverse array of modern yoga types. The book departs from conventional approaches to the history of yoga by undermining essentialist definitions of yoga as well as assumptions that yoga underwent a linear trajectory of increasing popularization. It uncovers how yoga underwent popularization as a result of factors unique to late-twentieth-century consumer culture and explains how yoga entrepreneurs prescribed the commodities associated with their yoga brands as a part of self-development believed to provide increased beauty and flexibility as well as decreased stress that can be combined with other worldviews and practices available in the global market. Finally, the book evaluates exempla from popularized yoga systems in a way that takes insider perspectives seriously and reveals how they serve as bodies of religious practice when they destabilize the basic utility of commodities and assign to them new, often sacred, meanings.

The coeliac artery isventral visceral branch of the abdominal aorta and it supplies supracolicorgans. It divides into three branches namely the left gastric, the commonhepatic & the splenic arteries. Vascular variations are constantly observedin dissection of adult cadavers. Though they are usually asymptomatic, priorknowledge about the anomalous branching pattern of the celiac trunk isessential to successfully accomplish surgical, oncological, interventional procedures. The present variation was observed during routine dissection of a femalecadaver in department of Anatomy, Dr. Vaishampayan Memorial Government MedicalCollege, Solapur. The branches of the celiac trunk ware traced carefully. Unilateralvariation in branching pattern of the coeliac trunk (CT) in upper anterior wallof the abdominal aorta of a male cadaver was noted. This coeliac trunk hadnormal relations with the abdominal viscera. After giving rise to its normalbranches that is left gastric (LG), common hepatic (CH), spenic (S) arteries,it also gave origin to left middle suprarenal (LMS) artery. Right and leftinferior phrenic arteries were arising as common trunk with right middlesuprarenal artery from anterior wall of aorta right to origin of coeliac trunk.Presence of such variation is worth considering in procedures such as intraarterial chemotherapy, radioembolisation, liver transplantation, pancreaticoduodenectomy.
