This research was funded by the Spanish Ministry for Economy and Competitiveness and the European Union, within the context of the research project CGL2017-91737-EXP and by the Andalusian Regional Government and the European Union under the aegis of research project P18-RT-976. ; Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are beneficial soil microorganisms that can stimulate plant growth and increase tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Some PGPR are capable of secreting exopolysaccharides (EPS) to protect themselves and, consequently, their plant hosts against environmental fluctuations and other abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, or heavy metal pollution. This review focuses on the enhancement of plant abiotic stress tolerance by bacterial EPS. We provide a comprehensive summary of the mechanisms through EPS to alleviate plant abiotic stress tolerance, including salinity, drought, temperature, and heavy metal toxicity. El siguiente artículo presenta los resultados del estudio sobre el rol del humor gráfico en el Perú frente al golpe de Estado, en 1992. Examinamos un número importante de caricaturas a la luz del enfoque histórico, crítico y contextual. La idea fue seguir construyendo el derrotero de la caricatura peruana. Entre los resultados que encontramos fue que, la caricatura ratifica su condición proyectiva, problética y maleable. No ejerció un papel fundamental en la creación de las condiciones del golpe, pero sin duda, sirvió a este objetivo. Fue un excelente vehículo para penetrar en los imaginarios sociales. Logró alcanzar su propósito al momento de afirmarse en el sentido común de la sociedad peruana, convirtiéndose en el magma de representaciones imaginarias, desde donde volvería a nutrir el humor con nuevos y viejos elementos simbólicos. En el estudio, utilizamos un enfoque metodológico cualitativo, el análisis lo hicimos apoyándonos en el interaccionismo simbólico.

The maintenance of military aircraft is complex and exhaustive, requiring an accurate training program. This process is not fault tolerant and requires certification renewal periodically. Furthermore, the process involves many professionals and resources, requiring phases of maintenance and verification of the tasks. Cooperation between professionals in the overall process is essential and requires strong team coordination. It is a highly costly process, since aircrafts are scarce and their readiness is essential for missions, and it requires a scheduling effort between all team members and aircrafts. The availability of tools that allow intensive training without aircraft presence is an asset to the maintenance squadrons. Virtual worlds have simulation and collaboration capabilities to implement this process. This paper presents a software architecture developed for training engine maintenance squadrons for certification, using virtual worlds platforms. This architecture is being tested in cooperation with the Portuguese Air Force and an engine maintenance squadron of F-16 aircrafts.

This systematic review assesses the methodological quality of manuscripts focusing on scales that explicitly measure nature connectedness. A literature search in six electronic databases was conducted using a search strategy based on PICO guidelines. Only peer-reviewed primary research available in English language, published between 2000 and 2021, meeting the scope of this review were included. Data from 35 studies were narratively analyzed. Their methodological quality was assessed using the COSMIN Risk of Bias checklist. Only five studies were rated as high/adequate quality. Based on the findings we make the following recommendations: (a) the need for the development of a more universal nature connectedness construct, (b) the requirement to increase the methodological quality of the scales, (c) the need to identify which the scales measure trait or state, (d) the need to increase the validate scales cross-culturally, and (e) the need to develop scales that can be employed with non-adult samples.
