Pendekatan Data Panel Metode Common Effect Terhadap Fluktuasi Harga Dinamis Jangka Panjang Ikan Pelagis Kecil (The Panel Data Approaches the Common Effects Method to Long-Term Dynamic Price Fluctuations of Small Pelagic Fish)
The research conducted in South Sulawesi aims to estimate long-term dynamic price fluctuations of small pelagic fish. These objectives use multiple regression analysis method and classical assumption test (multicollinearity and autocorrelation) with Common Effect panel data method approach. Based on the time dimension using time series data from 1991-2014 originating from secondary data. The results of this study found that in general the dynamic long-term price equilibrium of small pelagic fish in South Sulawesi is positively influenced by the price of small pelagic fish itself, the price of small pelagic fish in the past, and the per capita income of the community. Therefore, it is necessary to support the local government or stockholders in order to increase the production of catches to minimize the price fluctuation in the form of increasing the Grosstonase (GT) sea fleet to reach the fishing ground in the further Exclusive Economic Zone (EEE), such as 6-12 miles. This has been referring to the government program since 2010 through the ministry of marine and fisheries, the blue revolution as a grand strategy in implementing the restructuring of the national fleet to increase the production of catches

ESTIMASI PRODUKSI HASIL TANGKAPAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN MODEL EKONOMETRIKA PANEL DATA (Estimated of Catches Production on Panel Data Econometrics Model Approach)
Kata kunci : estimasi, produksi tangkapan, dan panel dataABSTRACTEstimated of Catches Production on Panel Data Econometrics Model Approach. The low utilization of marine fishery resources due to the limited ability of the cruising fleet and the lack of fishing gear and the trip resulted in a decrease in the production of the catch of fishermen in the coastal region of South Sulawesi. This study aims to analysis the factors that influence the production of the fisherman catch in the sea waters of South Sulawesi. The purpose of using multiple regression analysis and testing of multicollinearity and autocorrelation at approach econometrics method of panel data with fixed effect with time series data from 1986-2011. The finding results that the number of trips, Sea fleet, and regional differences Barru sea waters and Jeneponto positively and negatively affect the amount of fishing gear on the production of the catch in the waters of South Sulawesi. While the number of fishermen had no significant effect. Any negative effect on the production of the catch as the gear required stockholder or government support in order to increase the production of drift gill net catches example. Regulation of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries 8 of 2008. In: International journal of Japanese sociology, Volume 28, Issue 1, p. 148-169
ISSN: 1475-6781
This study examined the factors associated with job‐pursuit intentions for Japanese companies among young, college‐educated Malaysian respondents. Building on the frameworks of Japanese‐style management and the organizational image theory, the study examined the perceived images of Japanese companies and their relations to the actual job‐pursuit intentions among potential job seekers in Malaysia. Using two types of surveys—one based on students (prospective new graduates), and the other based on mid‐career workers—we found that a positive image of Japanese companies' human resource management was attractive to both types of potential job applicants. Images related to skill training and monetary compensation were more appealing to students, whereas the image of career development was more appealing to mid‐career workers. We also found that Japanese companies tend to attract members of the workforce who are talented in job‐specific skills and professional knowledge in the Malaysian context.

In: International journal of cross cultural management, Volume 18, Issue 1, p. 87-103
ISSN: 1741-2838
As the economic footprint of developing countries increases, talent management grows in importance for foreign multinational companies in emerging markets. Multinational companies, however, face fierce competition for local talent, and competitive recruiting calls for practical knowledge about the personal traits of job applicants. The present study applies a cross-cultural perspective to this issue, exploring how individually held cultural values influence the attractiveness of Japanese companies in Malaysia. Drawing on similarity-attraction theory and person–organization fit theory, the study quantitatively analyses data from a paper-based survey of 245 prospective jobseekers. The findings indicate that an individual cultural value fit with the foreign company's country of origin is significant predictors of employer attractiveness. Specifically, the study finds that potential Malaysian jobseekers who are lower in power distance and higher in risk aversion and long-term orientation view Japanese companies as attractive future employers and have higher job-pursuit behavior. Based on this finding, the study discusses theoretical and practical contributions to corporate employment strategies.

A multi-stakeholder strategy to identify conservation priorities in Peninsular Malaysia
Malaysia, with its rapidly growing economy, exemplifies the tensions between conservation and development faced by many tropical nations. Here we present the results of a multi-stakeholder engagement exercise conducted to (1) define conservation priorities in Peninsular Malaysia and (2) explore differences in perceptions among and within stakeholder groups (i.e. government, academia, NGOs and the private sector). Our data collection involved two workshops and two online surveys where participants identified seven general conservation themes and ranked the top five priority issues within each theme. The themes were: (1) policy and management, (2) legislation and enforcement, (3) finance and resource allocation, (4) knowledge, research and development, (5) socio-economic issues, (6) public awareness and participation and (7) rights of nature. In spite of their very different backgrounds and agendas, the four stakeholder groups showed general agreement in their priority preferences except for two issues. Respondents from government and private sector differed the most from each other in their priority choices while academia and NGO showed the highest degree of similarity. This ranked list of 35 conservation priorities is expected to influence the work of policy-makers and others in Peninsular Malaysia and can be used as a model to identify conservation priorities elsewhere.
