Podstawowe założenie niniejszego artykułu stanowiło zainicjowanie analizy mitów założycielskich państwa polskiego – ich istnienia i powielania we wspólnocie – w kontekście zarówno teorii memetyki, jak i wirtualnych miejsc pamięci. Pole badawcze, szeroko zarysowane rozważaniami teoretycznymi, zostało w prezentowanym tekście znacząco ograniczone. W ten sposób przeanalizowano (w wyznaczonym zakresie czasowym) jedynie wybrane konta na portalu społecznościowym Facebook – z jednej strony te reprezentujące instytucje publiczne zajmujące się upamiętnianiem, z drugiej – te prywatne, których jednym z celów jest prowadzenie narracji pamięci.

Niniejszy tekst ma za zadanie odpowiedzieć na pytanie, w jaki sposób narracje pamięci o bohaterach kształtowały się w oficjalnych ujęciach prezentowanych przez polskie władze po 1989 roku. Analizując, kto i w jaki sposób pojawiał się w bohaterskich narracjach pamięci, artykuł prezentuje ponadto refleksje dotyczące tego, czy w polskiej potranzycyjnej polityce pamięci zwyciężyły afirmatywne opowieści o czasach minionych. Rozważa również funkcjonalność narracji o bohaterach w polskiej przestrzeni publicznej, zastanawiając się nad ich przyczynami oraz konsekwencjami.

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present how the concept of conflict of memories can be understood (referring to Poland after 1989), and to show what are the main directions of narratives in this conflict, formulated within the framework of several areas fundamental to Polish public discourse. It was also of great importance to discover what types of narratives construct each of the narrative trends about a particular past event. This made it possible to formulate conclusions concerning the shape of the featured conflict, its course and potential for permanence.

Founding Myths without Borders in the Context of Latin American Nations
Founding myths have a special place in the process of creating and sustaining the existence of a nation. A characteristic feature of this type of myths, often also of heroic myths, is that they are adequate only for one nation. However, it is different in Latin America, where some founding myths can be discussed in the context of several Latin American nations living in separate states of the region. The specificity of the Latin American continent has set the primary goal of this text, which is to answer the question of how the founding myths of the Latin American nations are shaped.

Artykuł porusza kwestię stosunków gospodarczych Chiny–Ameryka Łacińska w tym stuleciu. W ciągu pierwszych dwóch dekad XXI wieku nastąpił znaczny wzrost handlu między Chinami i Ameryką Łacińską, a inwestycje Chin w Ameryce Łacińskiej wzrosły. Chociaż prezentowany tekst omawia kwestie współpracy gospodarczej, jego głównym celem nie jest jednak prezentacja dynamiki tych stosunków, ale refleksja nad szansami i zagrożeniami dla Ameryki Łacińskiej wynikającymi ze współpracy gospodarczej między Chinami i Ameryką Łacińską. Artykuł omawia zatem możliwości i zagrożenia w wielu aspektach, podając różne argumenty i liczne przykłady. Wnioski z tego artykułu dotyczą zarówno pojawiających się wyzwań, jak i perspektyw współpracy.

Abstract
The purpose of the article is – firstly – to get an answer to the question of what image of Polish patriotism is offered by the Internet fake, like and hate, and secondly – to reflect on its causes and consequences for the Polish community. The text presents the results of the author's own research with comments and conclusions. The presented research relied, in turn, on the content analysis of the memory narratives constructed by users of Polish patriotic accounts functioning on Facebook. More importantly, the analyses focused on both formal issues (the number of sites and their popularity), as well as substantive ones (issues discussed within a given website, threads raised and users' opinions).

The issues important for the EU are reflected in the political, economic, and social decisions made by Poland on the international arena, and influence the character and level of bilateral relations between Poland and particular Latin American countries. This article presents the political aspect of the relations between Poland and Latin American states after the Polish accession to the EU in 2004. The goal is not only to present the mutual political relations of Poland and Latin American and Caribbean countries after May 1, 2004, but most of all to consider the influence of Polish accession on the dynamics and development of those relations.Full text: http://bazhum.muzhp.pl/czasopismo/589/?idno=14761

AbstractThe main aim of this article is to answer the question of how populist governments of Hugo Chávez in Venezuela and Evo Morales in Bolivia affected the freedom of the media in countries governed by them. The text discusses actions made by the leaders who wanted to secure their unrestricted access to the mass media, stifle independent media and make them obedient to the government in order to build a positive image of the authorities. This article also made an attempt to perceive an analogy between Chávez's and Morales' decisions and to make a comprehensive assessment of the effects of these interventions
