Sin duda, la compleja situación socioambiental actual requiere de una cultura científica que proporcione a la ciudadanía herramientas para intervenir en su realidad. En el contexto de la formación del profesorado, esto toma mayor relevancia si entendemos la educación como motor transformador de una sociedad. Así, presentamos una investigación basada en el diseño y desarrollo de una propuesta didáctica para el aprendizaje de la construcción del conocimiento científico y su construcción social, en el contexto de una problemática socioambiental sobre la que deben emitir un juicio: la ganadería intensiva. El tratamiento multidisciplinar de dicha problemática nos permite, primeramente, presentar la red de problemas y contenido que se han prestado a investigación y, seguidamente, conocer el grado de aprendizaje de los principales rasgos de la metodología investigativa. Se han analizado los 12 proyectos de investigación elaborados por un grupo de estudiantes del Grado en Educación Primaria.

This paper presents the results obtained in an investigation of the role of heritage in current education regulations as a vehicle for the formation of citizens. The analysis was conducted on the Spanish state education regulations and their implementation in the Autonomous Region of Andalusia corresponding to the stages of pre-primary and primary education. A qualitative, descriptive-interpretative method was used. It was based on document analyses. To this end, a system of categories was prepared, organized into subcategories, variables and descriptors. From the results, there stands out the need to continue working on incorporating heritage into the formation of global citizens. For this, it is essential to build an integrated curriculum structured on the basis of "relevant socio-environmental problems". ; U ovom se radu prikazuju rezultati istraživanja o ulozi kulturne baštine u obrazovanju građana u sklopu aktualnoga obrazovnog zakonodavstva. Provedena je analiza državnih obrazovnih propisa u Španjolskoj i njihove provedbe u Autonomnoj zajednici Andaluziji, u predprimarnom i primarnom obrazovanju. Korištena je kvalitativna, deskriptivno-interpretativna metoda, a istraživanje je temeljeno na analizi dokumenata. U skladu s tim, pripremljen je niz kategorija podijeljenih u podkategorije, varijable i deskriptore. U rezultatima se ističe potreba nastavka rada na uključivanju kulturne baštine u globalno građansko obrazovanje, za što je neophodno izraditi integrirani kurikul koji se temelji na "relevantnim socio-ekološkim problemima".

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to analyse the presence of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) proposed by the UN (2015) in university degrees within the fields of education, humanities and environmental sciences (ES) at Andalusian public institutions (Spain).Design/methodology/approachThis paper shows an empirical analysis from a mixed methodological model on a total of 99 syllabi and training programs from nine different universities. The collection of information has been carried out through a rubric specifically designed within the framework of this body of research.FindingsThe results show that the syllabus of the subjects in the faculties of education includes the SDGs related to the social aspect of sustainability, with special focus on SDG4, SDG5, SDG10, SDG16 and SDG17, whereas others like SDG6 and SDG7 are less represented. SDGs are present in the majority of syllabus of the subjects analysed. It is certainly a positive finding which shows predisposition and a high interest on by the teachers involved. However, this is not enough as there is still a long way to go until achieving a thorough and complete incorporation of the principles of sustainability.Originality/valueThis research sheds light on the changes and transformations that the discourse linked to sustainability is generating in the university syllabi. Taking the SDG as a framework this paper highlights the most original aspects: a replicable methodology that allows diagnosing the level of curricular greening of the university syllabi is provided to other contexts the innovative value of connecting teaching with local and global environmental problems in their physical-chemical social and economic dimensions is shown and it has been possible to compare the difficulties of some universities in addressing compliance with the SDGs and curricular sustainability from a systemic and integrative perspective that will lead to methodological transformation and pedagogical renewal.
