The authors sketch the way of the model 'Burgerkommune' from an ideal to reality. Volunteering is a core of communal 'Daseinsfursorge' (Care for existence). Modes of direct & cooperative democracy augment the representative mode of political decision-making. There is a need for transparent & accepted rules for cooperation between citizens, administration & politicians. Also necessary is a strong community council, which shall only deal with the main priorities & watch the modes of participation. As a result there is more capacity to solve problems & a higher quality of life, which none of all could have reached alone. References. Adapted from the source document.

Organizations have left their mark on the social & political systems of Germany. Those movements from the early nineteenth century are deeply rooted in unions, music & sports as well as charities. Churches also have a structured method of organizing the interests of young people, men, women, workers & mothers. Globalization on the other hand is taking over & minimalizing the functions of these decade old social organizations. This article focuses mainly on the KAB (Catholic Workers Movement) which was established in the early nineteenth century & what impact it has on German society today & how it must go through changes & reinvent itself. New organizations do not necessarily need to be formed for this purpose. References. S. Block
