The present article exposes some relevant aspects of the construction of the state of art against the trajectories of the political practices of teachers between 2008 and 2018, which is part of the doctoral thesis attached to the Doctorate in Social Sciences, Children and Youth of the CINDE and the University of Manizales. The work implements a documentary review based on four moments (preoperative, heuristic, analytical and hermeneutical) which seeks to recover, understand, resignify and reflexively transcend the accumulated and constructed knowledge, going beyond the technical structuring of tracking and characterization of currents and advances in the area of study or problem of inquiry, addressing the analytical, comprehensive and transformative logics present in the works found. The study first showed a detailed characterization of the works found. The presence of the Biographical Documentation- Narrative as the main methodological reference in the construction of the life trajectories and practices of the teachers. Finally, a categorical construction is carried out that will guide the construction of the theoretical framework of the thesis. ; El presente artículo expone algunos aspectos relevantes de la construcción del estado del arte frente a las trayectorias de las prácticas políticas de maestros entr e2008 y 2018, el cual forma parte de la tesis doctoral adscrita al Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales, Niñez y Juventud del CINDE y la Universidad de Manizales. El trabajo implementa una revisión documental basada en cuatro momentos (preoperatorio, heurístico, analítico y hermenéutico), la cual busca recuperar, comprender, resignificar y trascender reflexivamente el conocimiento construido y acumulado, yendo más allá de la estructuración técnica de rastreo y caracterización de corrientes y avances en el área de estudio o problema de indagación, abordando las lógicas analíticas, comprensivas y transformadoras presentes en los trabajos encontrados. El estudio arrojó, en primera instancia, una caracterización a detalle de los trabajos encontrados. La presencia de la Documentación Biográfica-Narrativa y el Campo (Auto) Biográfico Narrativo como principales referentes metodológicos en la construcción de las trayectorias de vida y de prácticas de los docentes. Finalmente, se realiza una construcción categorial que guiará la construcción del marco teórico de la tesis.

Modern societies all over the World are facing numerous challenges of sustainability owing to a growing human footprint. A materialistic view of nature has resulted in unchecked consumption that has been propagated through Western colonization. Examples include, water and food shortages, global warming, soil degradation owing to chemical agriculture, deforestation, loss of species and biodiversity leading to the sixth massive extinction of biological species and possibility of a civilizational collapse. Incorporating our ancient and indigenous heritage into an educational programme requires a paradigm shift in the current education model. Here, we present results from a unique collaboration among scholars with great interest in ancient and indigenous culture to develop and to implement a multi‐cultural science education model of sustainability at the National University of Colombia, Medellin. Colombia has 87 different tribes comprising 3.4% of the country's population, which presents a unique opportunity for in situ model development and implementation. The proposed new education model can be shared as an illustrative example with other institutions in Colombia, and all over the world. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
