Eduardo Mendicutti is one of Spain's most prominent authors in the literary representation of non-normative sexuality in recent decades. This article addresses the fictional construction of depictions of sexual dissent in one of Mendicutti's novels in the 1980s, Best Time Time (1989). From a sex-dissident and queer perspective, the representation of non-normative sexuality is analysed in dialogue with the context in which the novel is produced and the rest of Mendicutti's work. The novelty, which closes the author's production in the 1980s, is important for thinking about dissident sexuality in times of normalisation and repression specific to the HIV-Sida crisis in the 1980s in Spain. The conservative positioning specific to the heteronormed regime and the conservative gay standard are positioned as policies that repress subversive sexual positions, dissidents, promises and abjects to build a homogenous gay identity tending to a hegemonic masculinity. The novel, which closes the work of the author in the eighties, it is important to think the sexual dissident in HIV-AIDS crisis's times of repression in the eighties in Spain. Este artículo aborda la obra narrativa del español Eduardo Mendicutti y sus vínculos con la repre sentación de la di sidencia sexual en España en las últimas décadas. En particular, este trabajo focaliza en una de las últimas producciones en la narr ativa del autor, Mae West y yo (2011). A partir del trabajo con una perspectiva queer en el texto mencionado, se abordan tópicos y dispositivos directamente relacionados con la disidencia sexual. En ese mar co, la novela funciona como ejemplo del conjunto de textos del autor, los que funcionarían como una "historia cultural" de la sexualidad disidente en España en las últimas décadas. ; This article discusses the narrative work of Spanish writer Eduardo Mendicutti in relation to the representation of sexual dissidence in Spain in the last decades. In particular, this paper focuses on one of the last narrative works of this author, Mae West y yo (Mae West and I) (2011). The article analyzes topics and literary devices directly related to sexual dissidence, from a queer perspective. En ese sentido, resulta sumamente pertinente al presente trabajo la articulación que ha realizado Butler en los últimos años entre los conceptos de precariedad, queerness y performatividad y sus proyecciones y efectos en las comunidades queer. ; Through an analysis of the evolution of performativity as a theoretical category in the thought of Judith Butler, the following article seeks to determine the evolution and changes of her theory.
