Asian vulnerabilities to Soviet influence and manipulation: A view from Singapore

The expansion of the USSR's interest through the use of influence and manipulation in the Asia-Pacific region is explored. It is argued that the USSR would seek to maximise its influence in this region which, despite its heterogeneity, is probably the most important to the Soviet decision makers. The mechanisms used by the USSR to realise its objectives of impressing its will on states in the region. Soviet attempts to influence and manipulate Singapore. (DÜI-Sen)
