The object of the research is the social position and personal axiology of the poet, philosopher and mathematician Alexander Esenin-Volpin. From the second half of the 1960s to the mid-1980s, the human rights movement constituted the core of the Soviet dissidence, and an analysis of the personal axiology and social position of the movement founder permits to understand the specifics of collective identity and of the "human rights activist" behavior model. The purpose of this work is to identify the origins and specificity of the "human rights activist" behavioral pattern, which gradually replaced the "defender" model from nonconformist rhetoric and social practice, and to characterize the axiology and typology of human rights protection. The Legal Note and the Free Philosophical Tractate by Volpin served as the material for this study.The author claims that the "human rights activist" model of social behavior emerged in the practice of nonconformists during the Sinyavsky—Daniel trial. It differs from the "defender" model implemented by the liberal intelligentsia in the Brodsky case. The "defender" is guided by the absolute value of the individual, invites the authorities to take into account personal characteristics of the defendant when sentencing, which means a selective approach to the law. For the "human rights activist", the law is universal; compliance with the law not only by citizens, but also by the state is the guarantee of justice.Volpin laid several theses on the basis of the ideology and axiology of human rights protection: the state is a subject of law, obliged not only to formulate laws for citizens, but also to comply with the prescribed norms itself; Soviet laws are designed to limit the dictates of the state and to protect the citizens; the citizens have legal rights to defend themselves against illegal actions of the state.The first practical implementation of these ideas — the "glasnost meeting" — showed that the authorities were not prepared for the proposed model of behavior. However, the motivation of the meeting participants mostly fit into the "defender" paradigm; the human rights logic of action and rhetoric were adopted by the community gradually. The Legal Note was written by Volpin to educate nonconformists and popularize human rights ideas.The article concludes that, thanks to Volpin's activities, appealing to the rights and the law gradually became the usual rhetorical method in literary and journalistic statements and social actions of dissidents.

The object of the research is the social and professional position of the writer and journalist Frida Vigdorova, which was estimated by the Soviet li­beral intelligentsia of the 1960s—1970s as extremely valuable. Her record of the trial of I. Brodsky served as a model for the drafters of reports on the trials of dissidents — A. Ginzburg, P. Litvinov, N. Gorbanevskaya, and others. Nonconformists shared the worldview principles of Vigdorova, replicated her behavioral model in the process of protecting dissidents from persecution of the authorities, and made the "advocate" model the standard of public behavior. The article aims to identify the origins of the "advocate" behavioral model formation and to characterize the journalist's axiology. Frida Vigdorova's journalism and memoirs of her contemporaries served as the study material.The author asserts that Vigdorova modeled her social and professional behavior on the samples crea­ted by the Russian and European tradition. V. Korolenko's public activities was the closest reference point. To prove this thesis, the author compares Vigdorova's behavioral tactics in the "case of Brodsky" and Korolenko's in the "case of Beilis". Comments of Vigdorova's contemporaries confirm her conscious orientation to the "advocate" behavioral model, implemented not only in the "case of Brodsky", but also in her social practice and journalism. Vigdorova's axiology, according to her contemporaries, included active help to people, humanism and a desire for justice.Vigdorova's journalism is devoted to the ethics of social relations. The plot of her essays is usually based on dramatic events requiring immediate public intervention. She orients the reader to empathy and active social behavior in response. Thus, the task of forming the active participation of citizens in the fate of each other is solved; the value of compassion and mercy is established.The article concludes that the axiology and beha­vioral practices of Vigdorova included the universal values for the Russian and European tradition of the 19th century — anthropocentrism and humanism.

This article analyses A. A. Zinoviev's dystopia Yawning Heights. The author substantiates the thesis about the fundamental difference between philosophical and artistic dystopias. In the author's opinion, the fundamental difference is rooted in the scientific and artistic methods of cognition of the world, specific ways of creating philosophical and artistic pictures of the world, and types of narrative. The author of a literary text moves towards a model of the world from an artistic image. The philosophical picture of the world presupposes a conceptual vision of the world and evidence-based argumentation of this concept. This methodological difference entails unique author's strategies that determine the poetics and style of philosophical and literary texts. The emotional-sensual perception of the world by the author of a literary text determines the type of narrative in which the logical-analytical approach to reality is secondary in comparison with the figurative one. For scientific thinking, the analyticity and infallibility of conclusions are primary. The philosophical approach presupposes integrity, and in a certain sense completeness. The artistic picture of the world is focused on a dialogue with the reader, and therefore on the additional construction of the semantics of the text through the reader's experience. The dystopia Yawning Heights is evaluated by the author of the article as a scientific but not a literary text. Observation, analysis, hypothesis, and assumption are a tool for analysing social reality, in which, according to Zinoviev, there are universal laws that are common to any human community and social system. The philosopher transfers the scientific method into the novel, moves in the comprehension of social laws from the abstract to the particular, i.e., from society to the individual. Zinoviev uses mask characters to evaluate the laws of sociality that depersonalise a person. The method, which is also typical of a literary text, receives a special interpretation from the philosopher. The schematic character of images reflects a law common to all social individuals, in which the particular is subordinate to the general, and psychological and personal differences are leveled. Zinoviev created a special genre — a philosophical dystopia, which is guided not by artistic, but by scientific logic.

The research focuses on the system of scientific views, theories, ideas used in the deve­lopment of pension legal regulations in France, Great Britain and Russia. The author presents the periodization of development stages of the conceptual foundations of pension legislation, draws the conclusions from the consideration of the first stage, covering the period up to 1914. The features of the systems of social support for the poor, which arose in the countries under the influence of religious ideology (various branches of Christianity), are characterized. The paper addresses the influence of the philosophy of the Enlightenment on the formation of the theoretical basis of the individual's right to social security, including pensions, presents the contribution of Russian legal experts to the formation of this approach. The authors reveal the role of socialist doctrines, the concepts of utilitarianism, liberalism, solidarism, social insurance, the agreement between generations, etc. in the process of forming the theoretical foundations of pension legislation.

The relevance of the study is due to the crisis of modern pension insurance systems and the need to change the paradigm of pension legislation development. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the formation of legislation on pension insurance in several countries (France, Great Britain, and Russia) at the initial stage of development (before 1914). The novelty is expressed both in the formulation of the problem and in the research methodology (the choice of countries and the period of research, the justification for the use of methods: dialectics, analysis, synthesis, system-structural, sociological, statistical, historical-legal, comparative-legal, formal-legal). The result of the study was the conclusions about the historical conditionality of the peculiarities of the formation of legislation on pension insurance in a particular country. There was early legalization of both voluntary and compulsory pension insurance in France. There was no legislation on pension insurance in the UK during the period under review, despite the early development of relevant institutions in the framework of workshops, guilds, and later in the framework of trade unions and "friendly societies". In Russia, due to the agrarian nature of the economy, pension insurance did not develop within the framework of workshops and guilds; there were no laws on insurance in case of old age by 1914, while the risks of disability and loss of the breadwinner were regulated by law. ; El estudio analiza la crisis de los sistemas modernos pensionales y establece la necesidad de cambiar el paradigma de la legislación de pensiones. El objetivo del estudio consiste en identificar las características de la legislación sobre los seguros pensionales de varios estados (Francia, Reino Unido y Rusia) partiendo de su etapa inicial hasta 1914. La novedad se expresa tanto en la formulación del problema como en la metodología de investigación (selección de países y período de estudio, justificación de la aplicación de los métodos: dialéctico, de análisis, de síntesis, sistémico-estructural, sociológico, estadístico, histórico-legal, comparativo-legal, formal-legal). Como resultado del estudio se llegó a conclusiones sobre el condicionamiento histórico de las características de la formación de la legislación sobre el seguro de pensiones de un país en particular. En Francia, se promulgó una legislación temprana sobre el seguro de pension voluntario y también obligatorio en Francia. En el Reino Unido, durante el período que se examina, no había legislación sobre seguros de pensiones, a pesar del desarrollo temprano de las instituciones pertinentes dentro de los talleres, gremios y, posteriormente, dentro de la actividad de los sindicatos y las «sociedades fraternales». En Rusia, debido a la naturaleza agraria de la economía, el seguro de pensiones en el marco de los talleres y gremios nunca funcionó; en 1914 se adolecía de leyes sobre el seguro de vejez, mientras que los riesgos de discapacidad y la pérdida del sostén de la familia se regulaban por ley.
