Del gesto artístico a la producción de espacio público: creación y acción en la ciudad vivida explora las formas de intervención en el espacio público que relacionan el arte con la transformación de las ciudades contemporáneas, y que tiene como principal objetivo dar a conocer un nuevo género de prácticas espaciales creativas que, de forma crítica y colaborativa, son generadas desde el campo del arte y destinadas a la construcción social del paisaje urbano. Enmarcándose en la investigación de un proyecto de tesis, se pretende traspasar las fronteras de la disciplina del urbanismo y la arquitectura más ortodoxas para abrirlas a otras miradas y modos de hacer que descubren en la práctica artística en medio urbano su potencial transformador dentro del ámbito político y social. A través del trabajo de tres artistas europeas se deconstruye la idea tradicional de arte publico, un binomio contaminado y en cierto modo decadente. Loraine Leeson, Marjetica Potrč y Lara Almárcegui, entre muchas otras, se presentan aquí como herederas de unos años setenta que dejaron paso a un nuevo género artístico que insinuaba la disolución del arte en la experiencia más cercana y popular. Ejemplos pasados y recientes fijarán las particularidades y condiciones del espacio público contemporáneo desvelando, a su vez, carencias y oportunidades sobre las formas de sociabilizarnos y hacer ciudad, construyendo en su conjunto, una crítica a nuestro entorno cotidiano. ; From the artistic gesture to the production of public space: creation and action in the living city explores the forms of intervention in the public space that relate art to the transformation of contemporary cities. The articles main objective is that of presenting a new genre of creative space practices which, in a critical and collaborative manner, are generated from the field of art and destined for the social construction of the urban landscape. Framed within the research of a thesis project, an attempt is made to cross the borders of the discipline of town planning and the more orthodox architecture to open them to other views and ways of doing things. They discover the transforming potential of artistic practice in the urban environment within the political and social sphere. The traditional idea of public art, a contaminated binomial, is deconstructed in a certain decadent way through the work of three European artists: Loraine Leeson, Marjetica Potrč and Lara Almárcegui. These three, from among many others, appear here as heirs of the Seventies who opened the way to a new artistic genre which involved the incorporation of art into the nearest and most common experiences. Past and recent examples will focus on the details and conditions of contemporary public space. This, in turn, reveals deficiencies and opportunities in ways to make us sociable and to make a city, constructing as a whole, a critique of our daily surroundings.

Cet article explique l'influence décisive de Patrick Geddes sur John Turner, l'architecte britannique qui dans les années 1960 et 1970 sera mondialement connu pour avoir encouragé les usagers à l'autoconstruction du logement et de la ville. Cette inspiration durable et profonde implique aussi l'idée d'essayer de comprendre la relation de l'individu au milieu de son logement à travers une série de fonctions, et d'envisager la vie humaine dans une vision holistique. Cette conception holistique commence quand Turner est jeune pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et continue encore aujourd'hui.

Schools of architecture have recently converted the former Final Degree Project into a one-year 'enabling' master's degree. This is a collateral effect of adapting Spanish university studies to the European legislative framework. Faced with this challenge, the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès (ETSAV) proposed the implementation of a teaching model that would allow students to learn based on the experience of interaction with 'the people' and construction experimentation. On a methodological level, the article reviews the theoretical basis related to this model based on the condition of an open process, physical experimentation and social return. It also makes a critical approach of the three first years of the master's degree to identify and review the teaching tools implemented, the subjects being researched and the contradictions that emerge. It concludes by evaluating the results obtained and identifying the need to balance learning between psychosocial competences and construction and technological competences, representing the main challenge and potential complexity of the service-learning projects conducted by the ETSAV's 'enabling' master's degree. ; Peer Reviewed ; Postprint (published version)

Ante este reto, la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura del Vallés (ETSAV) planteó implementar un modelo docente que permitiera un aprendizaje desde la experiencia de la interacción con 'la gente' y la experimentación constructiva. A nivel metodológico, el artículo revisa la base teórica relacionada con este modelo basado en la condición de proceso abierto, de experimentación física y de retorno social. Además desarrolla un recorrido crítico por los tres primeros años de funcionamiento para identificar y revisar las herramientas docentes implementadas, los temas objeto de investigación y las propias contradicciones emergentes. Se concluye evaluando los resultados conseguidos e identificando la necesidad de equilibrar los aprendizajes entre competencias psicosociales y competencias constructivo-tecnológicas, principal reto y complejidad potencial de los proyectos de aprendizaje-servicio conducidos por el máster 'habilitante' de la ETSAV.

El presente artículo relata la trayectoria del grupo que en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona ha planteado una aproximación de la antropología y la arquitectura para un estudio del espacio habitado. El texto recorre el camino desde la creación de la asignatura Antropología de la ciudad, ideada por la profesora Marta Llorente hace más de dos décadas, hasta la aplicación de métodos antropológicos en el desarrollo del proyecto de investigación "Barcelona ciutat fràgil" sobre los efectos de la COVID-19 en alguno de los espacios de la ciudad. El texto muestra la aproximación que realiza el grupo dirigido por Llorente a través de la docencia impartida y los proyectos de investigación desarrollados durante los últimos años. Se explican las nociones de inscripción y huella y de ciudad frágil y se exponen las indagaciones sobre la topología del espacio urbano y las formas de habitar postpandémicas exploradas hasta ahora. También se abordan las formas de representación que permiten condensar experiencias de vida, formas de memoria, determinadas observaciones del espacio de laciudad o prácticas espaciales de la "cultura urbana" a través de cartografías, dibujos, fotografías, escritos o documentos audiovisuales.
