While the literature on management theory has been growing in recent years, there are no publications regarding the evolution and mapping of this scientific field. This study dwells on the issues related to management theories in the context of today's research by identifying the most important lines of research, researchers, and the concentration of research. To explore the trends in the development of management theory, this study used bibliometric analysis. The search in the Web of Science database provided 5,825 documents (including articles, books, reviews, etc.). Methods of trend analysis, clusterization, and comparative analysis were used. The results show that a new direction of responsible management research is being formed – the organization's operations and objectives must be balanced, and their implementation must be responsible. This study enriches management literature by providing new ideas related to future research tendencies. Moreover, it fleshes out the direction for developing management theory and outlines the most-cited works and authors, the research concentration in different countries, and leading journals. For scholars and practitioners, such structured data are an important source of relevant information in published papers and allows for the definition of research guidelines.

First, the paper is aimed at naming the main sources of revenue as well as the preferential areas of financing. Second, it is also sought to disclose the objective principles of allocating budget appropriation. To achieve the goal, the correlation between preferences in government activity and expenditure allocation was investigated. The conducted research employs ranging and correlational analysis. Since the formation of a bigger budget leads to an increased appropriation of all functional areas, structural data were analysed thus enabling to more soundly determine whether the distinction of a functional area, as the preferential one, has an influence on its greater significance in the overall system of the national budget. After making the study, no possibility of asserting that a distinction of the preferential functional area is related to its preferential financing exists. In order to summarize the obtained results, it could be claimed that the allocation of resources accumulated by the state would be more substantiated if we related it more with activity priorities of the Government. The problem of poverty and exclusion, and income inequality in Lithuania has reached a critical verge. It is signalled by our income inequality index, along with the discontinued poverty reduction progress, having rocketed to the top level among the EU member states. The survey results contained in the present article point to the fact that the perception of social justice as an aspect of a official fair salary is of utmost importance to the society and it is closely related to the nature and matter, and the size of the salary paid for the work performed in a specific organization. The conducted survey supports the conclusions that the interests of groups which exercise control over the property and influence governmental decisions appear to be the principal factor obstructing to set the salary, which would satisfy the notion of social justice. Research objective – upon examining the conceptions of wages and social justice, to highlight the reasons, determining the perception of wage fairness. Research methods: scientific literature analysis, questionnaires, dispersion analysis, and regression – correlation analysis.

According to the World Bank's figures, the service sector accounts for 69% of the global GDP and continues to expand. This growth takes place in the environment what has significantly changed and become more complex in the recent decades due to globalisation, the rapid development of technologies, social change, and government regulation. On the one hand, the services perceive a great deal of attention from the researchers because of their increasing importance in the economy. On the other hand, the unique transformations in services' context raise the question of how the service notion is interpreted by the modern society, and whether services definition in the scientific literature considers the realities of the present era. The article, presenting the historical context, analyses the change in service definition and highlights the reasons behind this change. Based on the analysed service concepts found in the scientific literature and the results of the survey conducted, the service definition is updated so that it corresponds more to the contemporary management needs. Social capital could be one of these "safeguards". In the paper analysis of social capital definition in different scientific literature is made, measurement problems are identified, the link between social capital and economic development is disclosed. Social capital is a complex phenomenon that includes the following three dimensions – social networks, trust and social norms. Difficulties arise while assessing ambiguity of each dimension: there is not a single, universal definition of social capital nor measurement method, which could be used in empirical studies. In the paper components of social capital are identified, the potential of its measurement is revealed. Socialinio kapitalo apibrėžties ir matavimo problematika Santrauka Pasaulinė ekonomikos krizė skatina šalių vyriausybes ieškoti ne tik finansinio stabilizavimo priemonių, bet ir rasti "saugiklius", kurie užkirstų kelią ekonominėms krizėms ateityje. Socialinis kapitalas galėtų būti vienu tokių saugiklių. Straipsnyje, atlikus socialinio kapitalo apibrėžimų skirtinguose mokslinės literatūros šaltiniuose analizę, identifikuojamos matavimo problemos, atskleidžiamos sąsajos tarp socialinio kapitalo ir ekonominio vystymosi. Labor migration and its investigation are becoming a society-wide phenomenon because of the labor force shortage as well as the aging population. The Slovak Republic is a country that faces the outflow of qualified workers abroad, and the country's index of aging is one of the most dynamic in Europe. The current study aims at examining the relations and the reasons for emigration to work from the Slovak Republic. To identify the causes of labor emigration in the Slovak Republic, a survey was conducted to explore the decisions of people to emigrate for work, the duration of the stay abroad and the possibility of returning to Slovakia. This study also analyses the relationship between GDP growth and improvement of the economic situation in Slovakia, the number of labor emigrants, as well as the relationship between the minimum wage and the number of labor migrants. Publishing costs of the article were partially funded by the project "Publication and Coordination of Scientific Periodicals, 2016–2019" (Code No. 09.3.3-ESFA-V-711-01-0004, No. PML-2016/03).
