The article focuses on the features of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and the economic consequences of its implementation for Ukraine. The impact on foreign trade, export–import component of trade with the EU, problems and prospects for introducing European standards in Ukraine are determined. The study hypothesises that the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement has worsened the already weak economic situation in Ukraine and led to a reorientation of Ukraine's foreign trade with a simultaneous loss of markets to which Ukraine exported high value-added products and their replacement for EU markets where only raw materials are exported. It also led to a loss of more than a quarter of its own industrial production and the gradual transformation of Ukraine into a raw material appendage of Europe.

For the last five years, Ukrainians have been leaving their own state en masse. Some are looking for better living conditions, the opportunity to earn more money, get an education, and others are forced to save their own lives from the hostilities in the east. Objective coverage of migration processes is hindered by the lack of reliable statistical information, especially in the case of official Ukrainian statistics, which try to lower the migration rates of Ukrainians. In the article, the author attempts to analyze the social and economic causes of mass migration of Ukrainians to Poland and Russia. These are the countries which receive the largest number of Ukrainians. The state actually creates living conditions that lead to the partial physical destruction of Ukrainians, and people are forced to search for a better life outside Ukraine. Ukraine is in a situation of a civil turmoil which is reflected in multidirectional forced migration. In turn, Poland and Russia are receiving an immigration flow that corresponds to the logic of their demographic development, does not require significant costs to integrate migrants, and is an almost ideal demographic resource in terms of ethnic and professional characteristics. Due to migration, Ukraine is losing the most capable and highly qualified part of the population, which threatens its internal and external security, and even the existence of Ukraine as a state.

Yanukovych was elected President of Ukraine in 2010 a great deal has changed in the state power system. In September 2010 the Constitutional Court of Ukraine abolished the amendments to the Constitution adopted in 2004, and Ukraine became a semi-presidential republic again. It caused a change in the character of the co-operation between the legislative and executive powers in the country. The President was granted more plenary powers in the forming and control of the Council of Ministers that earlier belonged to parliament. Thus the President of Ukraine forms the main basis of public policy today. In this article the author tries to analyse the positive and negative consequences of these constitutional changes in modern Ukraine.

The paper explores the reasons for the failure of the Party of Greens of Ukraine (the PZU) in the 2002 elections after its success in 1998 elections. The first part is devoted to the issue of ecological conditions in Ukraine and lists the biggest problems in this area. The activity of the PZU is then examined and followed by evaluation of its actual performance in the Parliament, in order to find out whether the activities of the PZU correspond with the ecological problems of the country. The second part compares the 1998 and 2002 PR election campaigns to find similarities and differences between them. Main attention is drawn to the PR campaign of 2002 and the factors which could help explain the failure of the PZU in the elections. It is concluded that the main reasons for the failure of the PZU in the 2002 elections are rooted in the discrediting performance of the party in the Parliament, which resulted in a loss of political credibility, and exacerbated by the outdated and flawed PR campaign of the party given the new realities of the 2002 elections. Moreover, it is stressed that the popularity of the PZU among voters has been low in each parliamentary election since 2002.

The study conducted an analysis of the concept of public control over the observance of the rights of convicted persons in the field of enforcement of sentences and parole. On the basis of the use of general methods and reflective points of view, the definition of public control over the observance of the rights of convicted persons was formulated. In addition, the use of separate special scientific methods provides arguments for the expediency of making changes in the Criminal Executive Code of Ukraine, by enshrining in it a separate chapter that would regulate legal relations in the sphere of public control and on the sphere of observance of the rights and interests of convicted persons in places of punishment; as well as a separate article that would define the content, forms and types of public control over the functioning of bodies and institutions of execution of punishment and probation. It was concluded on the necessity of observance of the rights and legitimate interests of a person in the sphere of execution of punishment and probation, since, by their nature, they do not belong to public associations.

The article analyses legislation and scientific work on combating cybercrime based on the use of a set of general and special methods, methodological principles and approaches of legal science. It is concluded that with the introduction of the term "cybercrime" in the criminal law of Ukraine, the use of the term "cybercrime" becomes relevant, which should be understood as a socially dangerous crime in cyberspace, a responsibility that is provided for by the Ukrainian law on criminal responsibility and that is also recognized as a criminal offense by international treaties that regulate the matter. Emphasis is placed on the desirability of making appropriate terminological changes in the Law of Ukraine "On the Basic Principles of Cyber Security" and other regulations, as well as taking other systemic measures at the conceptual and organizational level, to identify the main cybersecurity threats and formulate measures to prevent and investigate them, determine a single body for the operational management of all entities whose task is to ensure the cybersecurity, create a system of technological means of the national cybersecurity system and establish closer international cooperation.
