IN THE AUTHOR'S VIEW, NICARAGUAN POLITICS HAVE BEEN SHAPED FIRST AND FOREMOST BY THE NATION'S HISTORY AND BY THE PARTICULAR CONSTELLATION, OR ALLIANCE, OF CLASS FORCES EMERGING FROM THAT HISTORY TO MAKE THE REVOLUTION.
