The problem of tool path optimization for CNC sheet metal cutting equipment is considered. Sheet metal cutting equipment includes laser/plasma/gas/water-jet machines and some others. Users of CAD/CAM systems develop numerical control programs for the cutting equipment after nesting of parts onto the sheet. The control programs contain information about tool path. The tool path is a routing of cutter head used for cutting of sheet material. Classification and the correspondent mathematical models of tool path problem are considered. The tasks of cost/time minimization for various types of cutting techniques are formalized. Mathematical formalization of technological constraints for these tasks is also described. Unlike the known analogs this formalization allows to consider constraints of thermal cutting. In some cases the optimization tasks can be interpreted as discrete optimization problem (generalized travel salesman problem with additional constraints, GTSP). In paper also the developed exact algorithm and some heuristic algorithms of tool path optimization based on described models is reported. Part 7: First Mining Humanistic Data Workshop (MHDW 2012) ; International audience ; Web 2.0 has facilitated interactive information sharing on the WWW, allowing users the opportunity to articulate their opinions on different topics. In this framework, certain practices implement information monitoring systems so as digests, reports on keywords and thematic queries regarding opinions on government decisions to be created. Analysis of rubrics associations, primary semantic and statistical interpretation of the texts is usually carried out. It is, on the other hand, rather difficult to get punctual predicts and estimate sufficiently forum users' opinion strength. In this work we present a methodology which automatically mines and estimates the strength of users' opinions on text forums regarding government decisions. According to our methodology, quantitative features are automatically mined from forum posts and then passed to a Support Vector Machine based classifier where the users' opinion strength is estimated. The proposed methodology has been validated in real data and initial experimental results are presented.

Abstract. In this study, modern, eco-friendly and cost-efficient ideas to enhance the competitiveness and to promote Green Ports are presented by taking into account the current situation of the ports, as well as the current legislation regarding the protection of the environment. This study is based on a bibliography survey, examining two Greek ports as case studies and investigating the integration and adaptation of the environmental legislation, national, international and European, in order to suggest improvements to move towards the idea of the perfect Green Port.This paper first introduces the idea of the green port. Then, the main legislation in force in Greece and Europe is briefly described aiming to answer the question if existent legislation leads to green ports or not. The existent situation in two Greek ports, the actions, and the measures that need to be made and taken in order to turn the Greek ports into Green ports are examined as case studies. The two Greek ports are the port of Igoumenitsa and the port of Patras This paper presents the main characteristics that feature a Green port.

Edited in collaboration with TEN ECOPORT project, this volume contains the proceedings of the 1st International Conference on 'Sustainable Development of the Sea-corridors and Coastal Waters'. The book highlights the advances of environmental pollution management on ports and coastal zones. Particular attention is given to water quality, issues that concern the marine environment of sea corridors and coastal waters, especially in regions surrounding ports. In addition to these topics the chapters explore novel methodologies and technologies, IT solutions, data and instrumentation of monitoring water quality. The book is organized into five parts: assessment, monitoring, sustainable management system, port processes and historical ports.TEN ECOPORT (Transnational ENhancement of ECOPORT8 network) is a project co-financed by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme.
