The Fate of a Language: A Brief Survey of Wotic
In: Nationalities papers: the journal of nationalism and ethnicity, Band 9, Heft 2, S. 179-184
ISSN: 1465-3923
Wotic is one of the Balto-Finnic languages. In the nineteenth century, there were about 5000 speakers of this language. It was spoken between Leningrad and Estonia, in the area which is known as Ingermanland. Before the Second World War, their number was already drastically reduced (a loss of about 80–90% of the speakers). In 1939, their number was between 500 and 700. Even this small number of people who still spoke the language was spread out in a number of villages. Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian and Russian researchers who tried to note down some materials in this dying language even found dialectal differences between Eastern Wotic (spoken in the village which is called in Russian Itsepino), and Western Wotic which was spoken in several villages (for instance Korvettula, Mati, Velikino, Undova etc.)
Művészet és tömegkultúra
In: Replika: társadalomtudományi folyóirat, Heft 130, S. 191-204
A második részben Mortimer J. Adler művészetfelfogását elemzi és értékeli; vizsgálódásai során Adler esztétikai gondolataiban a modern társadalom elnyomó tendenciáinak legitimálását véli felfedezni. Horkheimer a szöveg befejező részében – összefoglaló jelleggel – borúlátó képet fest Európa modern társadalmairól. A német filozófus a korra adekvát módon reflektáló teóriában és a művészet kommunikatív funkciójában látja a pozitív irányú változás lehetőségét.

Guide to Researching Human Research Subjects Laws in West Africa
In: Journal of empirical research on human research ethics: JERHRE ; an international journal, Band 2, Heft 4, S. 93-105
ISSN: 1556-2654
Because of the scarcity of publicly accessible information on West African human research subjects' protections, resources are difficult to find; many of these nations do not have local laws governing human research subjects protections and many of the local regulations are not available online. Without such information, investigators cannot effectively develop acceptable methods and procedures as they plan research in West African countries. This guide is intended for research ethics committee administrators, governmental and commercial regulators, ethicists, those in the legal community, and researchers seeking information regarding human research subjects' protections laws in West Africa. It is assembled in the hope that it will make these resources more widely available and so aid in the review and conduct of research involving human research subjects and stimulate further efforts to update such information as new regulations evolve.
