The experience of the environment in which the activity is performed is a significant factor of the outcome of this activity, that is, the efficiency of the work and the degree of achieving the goal. Within the work environment, physical and social conditions can be observed. The first, which includes material and technical means, are mostly static, easily perceivable and measurable. Others, which include social relations, are much more susceptible to change, more difficult to perceive and measure, and their experience with different individuals within the same group can be more distinct. Although all members of the group participate in group dynamics and relationships, not all are equally relevant to these processes. Considering the position that carries the right and responsibility of setting up a vision and mission, setting goals, creating conditions for work, making decisions and providing feedback, the leader is in most cases crucial. This paper analyzes the role of elementary school principals in creating a school climate, as a non - material environment in which educational activity is carried out, and in this sense it is a specific group / work organization. An estimate was used to measure both variables, i.e. teacher's experience. The instruments used are Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire - MLQ (Avolio and Bass) and School Level Environment Questionnaire - SLEQ (Johnson, Stevens and Zvoch). The survey was conducted in elementary schools in the wider city area of Tuzla, on a sample of 467 teachers and 25 principals. In statistical data processing, multiple regression (Ordinary least squares) and direct square discriminatory analysis were applied. The obtained results point to the connection between the perceived leadership style of elementary school principals and the school climate experienced by teachers, especially in the field of innovation in teaching and mutual cooperation.
In this paper the authors analyze the process of negotiating and beginning of the United Nations Declaration on Human Cloning as well as the paragraphs of the very Declaration. The negotiation was originally conceived as a clear bioethical debate that should have led to a general agreement to ban human cloning.
Understanding how music and emotion co-vary has been the focus for many scholars for a long time, starting with the writings of Ancient Greeks to contemporary thought. Philosophers, musicologists, and cognitive scientists alike have been puzzling on the extent to which music can have an influence on how humans feel, think and act morally and ethically. Therefore, the understanding of this relation is of paramount importance as we are immersed in organized-sound contexts every day, and this has a major effect on how listeners think and act in social environments. The current investigation aims at highlighting the development of the music and emotion relationship throughout the stylistic periods of the European space (with a short comparison to Ancient Chinese music) as a preamble for a more nuanced future research on the topic.
The subject of this paper is the sociolinguistic aspect of attitudes towards language, included as an unavoidable factor in foreign language learning. The aim of this research is to examine the influence the age of the students or the attitudes of their parents have on attitude formation towards learning a foreign language. The descriptive scientific research method as well as the scaling technique for examining attitudes used on the corpus in this research consisted of students aged 9 and 13 years who attend primary school and learn German as a foreign language. Having in mind that numerous factors contribute to mastering a foreign language, the research will show whether and to what extent the age of the students or the attitudes of their parents affect the formation of students' attitudes towards learning a foreign language. Research results can contribute to pedagogical practice as well as to restoring existing knowledge about the importance of attitudes in foreign language teaching.
In its attempts to defend the right of women to claim their own subjectivity,as well as the equal right to participate in the social system institutions, the mainstream of feminist thinking has been marked crucially by the question of woman and her identity. This question could be said to occupy a central place in feminist texts and discussions which started even before the women's movement was officially created. But since feminist disagreements about how these issues should be approached appropriately have already resulted in serious misunderstandings and mutually severe accusations, this paper aims at shedding light at the very nature of these polarities. In doing so, the focus has been placed on how the terms equal and different have been theorised. These dissenting voices have certainly proved productive in the context of theory itself, but have done much harm in the domain of social activism which failed to initiate truly substantial changes within western society and culture. The same countereffect is also visible in theory, which has generated a diversity of feminisms, but has definitely failed to offer a comprehensive critique of the perniciously repressive culture. The lack of gender equality has always been an important dimension of this culture, but still just a segment and one particular mechanism of the invisible matrix which has never actually stopped producing binary hierarchies. They are being manifested in different forms today but have retained fundamentally unchanged and unchallenged structures, promoting an ideologically induced perception of reality to appear natural and self-evident. The paper puts forward the claim that a humanistic and anti-capitalist feminism is a framework broad enough to overcome all exclusions and one-sided definitions and to head towards one such comprehensive feminism – bringing us back to the original radicalism of the women's movement. To do so, it is necessary to reconsider the general confusion within postmodernist discourse, and especially the controversy related to what humanism should stand for today.
