Abstract
This article explores the ways in which the victims of anticlerical violence during the Spanish Civil War have been represented and remembered by the Spanish ecclesiastical hierarchy and Catholic hagiographers, examining the period from the Spanish Civil War up to the present day. It sustains that the discourse of martyrdom forged by the Catholic Church during the Civil War and the Dictatorship played a crucial role in legitimating the rebel war effort and the Franco Dictatorship, and in justifying repression against those associated with the Second Republic. It argues that the key tenets of the martyrdom discourse survived the Transition to Democracy and continue to characterize present-day Spanish ecclesiastical discourse. Against this backdrop, a re-evaluation of the Spanish episcopate's assertions that the martyrs of the Civil War are non-political symbols of reconciliation between Spaniards is necessary.

This article examines the ways in which anticlerical discourses and actions in Spain from the early twentieth century onwards became infused with religious language, sentiments and even belief. Specifically, it focuses on the anticlerical violence and iconoclasm which occurred on Republican territory at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. The protagonists of these acts used a wide repertoire of religiously inspired collective action in their attacks on Catholic property and personnel. This article seeks to explain why this was. It argues that, in a time of momentous change and accelerating modernization, 'secular' and 'traditional' modes of thought mingled and fused together in the mental landscapes of anticlerical actors who had been strongly influenced by religious principles and practices. It suggests that the concept of the 'sacralization of politics' is wholly applicable to the Spanish case.

This article explores the construction of anticlerical collective identities among Spanish workers from the late nineteenth century, outlining the ways in which the daily experience of the Church generated and intensified anticlerical sentiment. From the turn of the century, political, social and cultural changes sparked by industrialization and rural-urban emigration altered the face of 'traditional' Spanish popular anticlericalism; newly politicized workers increasingly identified the Church as part of the repressive machinery of the Restoration Monarchy's political system. As workers struggled to fend off the ever-expanding central state's intrusions into their domestic space and the Church's influence over innumerable aspects of everyday life (including, crucially, its control of public spaces) they constructed their own, strongly anticlerical 'workers' public sphere' grounded in alternative forms of socialization, cultural activities, and new secular rituals.

Recent publications concerning the Spanish Civil War have shown that British policy towards Spain was governed by a fear of left wing politics, as well as class prejudice and racism towards the Spanish proletariat. This article focuses on the activities and opinions of diplomats stationed
in Spain during the conflict, revealing that their reports were decisive in forging the policy of Non-Intervention. Specifically, it examines correspondence between the Barcelona Consulate and the Foreign Office which occurred during the first six months of the war. It uses Norman King, the
Vice Consul in Barcelona as a case study, establishing that his reports serve as a pertinent example of Britain's malevolent neutrality

Dazu zählen u. a. Qualifikationsprogramme und die Möglichkeiten der Zertifizierung. Schließlich kommen auch zahlreiche namhafte Experten zu Wort und schildern ihre Sicht auf die wesentlichen Erfolgskriterien in der Telemedizin.
