The research problem that this dissertation addresses is how and with what implications the use of force in 'distant' places is made seen and known at home. As practices change and 'peacework' is becoming increasingly violent, the book argues that it is imperative to examine how war 'comes home' and to what extent the narratives emerging in public discourse open up for public reflection and (re)consideration. As the representation of violence varies between contexts and over time, the book contributes to ongoing debates on the representation of war and violence by offering a comprehensive and systematic examination of the representation of violence in the case of Sweden, where the engagement in war(like) activities by no means is considered normal. Though Sweden during the last decades has increased its contributions to operations of peace-enforcement, Sweden still projects an image of itself as a nation of peace and a nation at peace. Thus, Sweden could be considered a 'most likely case' for politicisation and dislocation once Swedish soldiers engage in violence. Drawing on poststructuralist theorisation on the political, processes of identification and the articulation of foreign policy as well as previous literature on the representation of war and violence, the book examines and conceptualises how violence dis/appears in Swedish public narratives at the time of Swedish military contribution to war(like) engagements. Part II of the book examines the representation of violence in Swedish parliamentary debates during, altogether, five military interventions taking place between 1960 and 2014. Part III takes a closer look at public service media material during three critical episodes that could be considered (potentially) dislocatory experiences related to the use of force. For the study of how violence dis/appears, the book advances a conceptual framework that combines the concepts of in/visibilisation, de/naturalisation and dis/identification. The study uncovers how the narratives on peace-enforcement move between making visible and making invisible, between problematisation and naturalisation, and between linking and differentiating the use of force to or from Sweden. It lays bare a number of narrative themes and responses that are salient over time, and examines the political work of the dis/appearances of violence in terms of de/stabilising the link between identity and policy, and in terms of de/politicising the issue of using force. Ultimately, the book argues that the dis/appearances of violence in public discourse condition the possibility for critical reflection and (re)consideration at home at the time of war(like) engagements abroad.

The trade-off between achieving price stability and economic growth, especially in the short term is the impact of a decision-making dilemma for the conduct of fiscal policy or monetary policy in the Indonesian economy. The problem is what lies behind this study and aimed to determine the impact of fiscal and monetary policies on the Indonesian economy. The data used are secondary data sourced from Bank Indonesia and BPS variables namely GDP, Government Expenditure, Tax Revenue, Export, Exchange Rate, Money Supply, Interest Rates for time series from 2000 to 2012. Data analysis was performed using Two Stage Least Squares (TSLS) estimation with multiple linear regression models using Eviews 5.0 program assistance. The results of this study it can be concluded that the simultaneous equation model on IS to variable Interest Rate and a significant negative effect on GDP of Indonesia, while the Government Expenditure variable (G0), Export (X0) and Tax Revenue (Tx) and Exchange Rate (ER) effect positively and significantly to Indonesia's GDP, while the equation for the LM model of the Money Supply variables significantly and negatively related to Indonesia's GDP increased at a rate statistically a = 10% and for variable interest rate is not significantly to Indonesia's GDP.

The drowning of foreign fishing vessels of illegal fishing actors in Indonesia teritory is one of law enforcement efforts to against the eradication of illegal fishing and to enforce the sovereignty of the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. It is a special act mandated in Article 69 paragraph (4) of Law No. 45 of 2009 on fisheries. This sinking policy invites controversy from neighboring countries because it is considered as an action that violates the principle of peaceful dispute resolution and is not regulated in international law. Indonesia keep continues to enforce this policy because it is considered the most effective step in reducing massive illegal fishing in Indonesian waters and has a deterrent effect for the actors. Keywords: drowning policy of foreign ship, illegal fishing, international law

The arrival of the Jesuits to the Amazon forest of the Viceroyalty of Peru in 1638 originated the establishment of the mission of Maynas. Through the hundred and thirty years of their stay, the missionaries founded more than a hundred towns in which they tried to subdue the natives belonging to an extraordinarily complex and varied cultural universe. This situation -combined with others of political and geographical nature- transformed the mission into the most complex and unstable of all the evangelization projects carried out by the Jesuits in Spanish America. The present contribution describes and analyzes through the chronicle of father Manuel Uriarte the final phase of this mission. Undoubtedly it was a moment of deep crisis due to the shortage of missionaries, the extended scourge of various plagues and the cyclic desertions of the natives to the depths of the forest. When the announcement of the expulsion arrived, our chronicler did not lose his spirit and continued up to the last instant building churches and calming down the inhabitants, who felt frightened because of the incoming news. In the narration -at first sight scattered and chaotic- we clarified the feelings of resignation and obedience of the twenty-one Jesuits of Maynas set against the inevitable. These feelings were always accompanied by an intense suffering, caused by the obligation to abandon of their dear spiritual sons and daughters. In spite of all, Uriarte never lost the hope to be able to return to his beloved missions.

To manage intangible assets such as knowledge is perceived as an important capability for competition. One of the main matters for managing knowledge resources is diffusion of knowledge within organizations. Knowledge management needs different forms according to the possibility to code knowledge. Internal individual processes like experience and talent obtain tacit knowledge that is difficult to code. Therefore it cannot be managed and shared as explicit knowledge. To rely on personal tacit knowledge is risky. Conversion of tacit knowledge to explicit or at least ability to share it offers greater value to an organization. But what are the difficulties related to sharing tacit knowledge? Different difficulties are to be found related to perception, language, time, value and distance.
