BACKGROUND: Early childhood fall is a pressing global public health problem and one of the leading causes of child injury. China has a high proportion of children and a high burden of illness from falls. Therefore, educational interventions to prevent childhood fall would be beneficial. METHODS: We used the outcome of knowledge, attitude and practice questionnaire, which was conducted by Pudong New District of Shanghai Municipal Government, to summarize demographic and baseline characteristics grouped by intervention or not, and analyzed descriptive statistics of continuous and categorical variables. A logistic stepwise function model was established to study the influence of different covariables on the degree of injury, and AIC/BIC/AICC was used to select the optimal model. Finally, we carried out single-factor analysis and established a multifactor model by the stepwise function method. RESULTS: Attitude and actual behavior scores had significant differences. The intervention and control groups had 20.79 ± 3.20 and 20.39 ± 2.89 attitude scores, respectively. Compared to the control group (5.97 ± 1.32), the intervention group had higher actual behavior scores (5.75 ± 1.50). In the univariate analysis results, fathers' education level, mothers' education level, actual behavior and what cares for children had a significant influence on whether children got injured. In multivariate analysis, attitude had a positive influence on whether injured [odds ratio: 1.13 (1.05–1.21), P < 0.001]. CONCLUSION: Educational intervention for children and their guardians can effectively reduce the risk of childhood falls, and changes in behavior and attitude are the result of educational influence. Education of childhood fall prevention can be used as a public health intervention to improve children's health.

Blood samples and real-time ultrasound-proven fatty liver sonography results were collected.Results: The prevalence of NAFLD in this elderly population was 27.2%, including mild NAFLD (16.0%), moderate NAFLD (10.3%), and severe NAFLD (0.9%). The prevalence of moderate or severe NAFLD for metabolic syndrome proved to be substantially greater (P<0.0001, Χ2 test) for one or two metabolic factors. Using multinomial logistic regression analysis, age, sex, metabolic syndrome, and higher body mass index had a statistically significant association with mild NAFLD. Age, sex, metabolic syndrome, higher body mass index, and higher alanine aminotransferase were significantly related to moderate NAFLD. In addition, higher body mass index, higher uric acid, and higher alanine aminotransferase levels were significantly related to severe NAFLD. The sensitivity and specificity of body mass index and waist circumference as markers of NAFLD were estimated to be 81% and 84%, respectively, and 77% and 69%, respectively.Conclusion: The prevalence of mild or moderate NAFLD was related to obesity and metabolic syndrome. Higher body mass index was also related to severe NAFLD but not to metabolic syndrome. Objective: This systematic review aimed to discuss the effects of a zero-markup policy for essential drugs (ZPED) on healthcare costs and utilization in China in the years 2015–2021. Methods: We searched the PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and CINAHL databases for all associated studies carried out from January 1, 2015, to May 31, 2021, without any limitations regarding the language the studies were written in. To prevent selection bias, gray documents were tackled by other means. The methodological approaches were assessed by applying the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines and the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) collaboration tool. Results: Forty studies were selected at first and then 15 studies that met the inclusion criterion. Most of the studies showed a considerable decrease in total medical spending and drug spending in both outpatient and inpatient services. After the implementation of ZPED, studies showed that the medical services increased and total hospital income sustained, despite a decrease in drug revenue. Minimal or no government subsidy is required from a financial perspective. Conclusions: Although, the government could implement ZEPD with lower medical cost and drug cost to patients, and sustained income for health facilities, we have limited understanding of whether the increase in medical services was induced by the provider or was a response to unmet needs in the population. Further, studies using rigorous and advanced methods to study health policy, patient behaviors, provider behaviors, and government decisions are warranted.
