Досліджено рівень бойового досвіду та його вплив на вибір копінг-стратегій ; The article is devoted to theoretical and empirical study of coping strategies of the combatants in the area of anti-terrorist operation. Theoretical analysis allowed to define post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as anxiety disorder, which arose as a result of a traumatic event. Participation in the combat operations is most intense stressor that personality can survive. War is the most traumatic experience of a lifetime for many people. The most stressful events during the combat operations are the threat of death, injury or fire, the loss of a comrade in battle, monitoring the dead and dying people, contact with dead bodies. The use of coping strategies military can both strengthen and weaken symptoms of PTSD. Empirical research has shown correlation of the negative symptoms of PTSD and coping strategies of combatants, such as "voiding problems" and confrontational coping and inverse correlation with positive strategy "searching for social support". The results are consistent with studies of US military by Wolfe et al. it was found that rates of coping strategy "searching of problems solution" correlate with the number of threats to the military to be wounded or killed and the number of observations as someone was injured or killed in the fighting. Also differences in coping strategies of mobilized and volunteers, so volunteers found a higher level of taking responsibility strategy were found. Further research needs to take into account the problem of combat experience s, individual psychological differences and ways to cope with stress in the development of psychological rehabilitation programs for anti-terrorist operation combatants.
1. The article is devoted to theoretical analysis and empirical verification of Otto Kernberg's psychoanalytic model of political activity.Methods. The Altemeyer's Right-Wing Authoritarianism scale and the Political Orientation Questionnaire were used in order to identify political attitudes. The characteristics of political leadership were diagnosed by the questionnaire «Ideal Political Leader». The modified Traumatic Experience Checklist (TEC) was used to diagnose historical trauma concepts. The Traumatic Experience Checklist (TEC) and the Ego-structural test of Ammonwere used to diagnose psychological characteristics and individual trauma perceptions. Results: The aim of empirical research was to identify correlations between political orientations and psychological characteristics of Ukrainians, their perceptions of historical and personal trauma. Left political attitudes had negative correlations with most items about historical trauma. There were significant correlations between left political attitudes and experience of losing a significant person in childhood or adulthood. Left political attitudes correlate with the ideal political leader as «common man of the people». Right-wing authoritarianism attitudes correlated with the image of the ideal political leader as «western politician» (negative correlation) and with destructive and deficient aggression. Right-authoritarian political orientation correlates with memories of a range of traumatic events - Holodomor, World War II, political repression and forced deportations, as well as physical aggression towards respondents in their childhood.Conclusions. The phenomenon of «identification with the aggressor» and the choosing a leader, that is specific to paranoid regressive group in case of right-authoritarian political orientation have been empirically confirmed; as well as the phenomenon of «historical amnesia» and choosing a leader, that is specific to the narcissistic regression group in case of left-wing political orientation.
; Anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine has created a major challenge for the Ukrainian psychology concerning the problem of rehabilitation of military-combatants. Psychological consequences of participation in wars are known in psychological science for a long time. Thus, in the United States during the Civil War soldier symptoms such as shortness of breath, sleeplessness, palpitations called "irritable heart". To correct the symptoms of PTSD are used as pharmacotherapy and various psychotherapeutic approaches. In our article the factors efficiency imagination techniques when dealing with PTSD. Empirical studies show high efficacy imagination techniques in correction PTSD, including combatants PTSD. Imagination is a dynamic, physiological process by which a person thinks, feels and experiencing internal reality in the absence of external stimulation. Therapeutic significance of imagination is based on a corresponding emotional, behavioral or psychophysiological activity without real-stimulus event. Thus, images of the imagination can be used to change physiological processes, mental states, self-esteem, performance and behavior. At the psychophysiological level imagination helps to lower the level of activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, which can lead to lower levels of glucocorticoids and catecholamines and increase endorphins; is overwriting memory traces in the brain areas responsible for anxiety reaction. At the psychological level imagery imagination provides the context by which the patient can relive trauma, while helping the therapist is to encourage the patient to use internal resources.
