En este trabajo se analizan distintas interpretaciones de la franquicia Alien y cómo dividen al mundo respecto a temas como la explotación económica, la tecnología y la otredad. La sociología cultural permite comprender cómo las interpretaciones se articulan a través de conjuntos binarios que ven al mismo tiempo la franquicia como una crítica y una apología de: a) el racionalismo capitalista colonial y tecnológico, b) la exclusión del otro y lo monstruoso, y c) el feminismo, la identidad sexual y de género. Las interpretaciones se analizan como condensaciones sobre las esperanzas y los temores en relación con los procesos sociales contemporáneos. La disputa por el control del sentido de Alien permite comprender cómo se articulan los temores y las esperanzas sobre la racionalidad económica y tecnológica y sobre las relaciones de género.
Based on the observation of the comments made to the official and personal accounts on Facebook and Twitter of the mayor of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico; an identification is made of the way in which the expression of the digital citizen identity takes place from four variables: support, opposition, demands and proposals. The most outstanding results obtained from a quantitativedescriptive perspective suggest that this identity manifests itself mainly from expressions of demand towards the solution of issues related to the services provided by he city council (security, public lighting, etc.), as a sign of citizen identity. In contrast, proposal-related entries are much less frequent. It is concluded that the participation manifested in the observed platforms reflects a relevant collective sense of identity that its more evident in terms of the immediate spatial contexts (such as the neighborhood or the neighborhood), than in relation to broader areas (such as the region), depending on the platforms observed.

These are views in which problems such as access to justice, crime, education and the configuration of the State constitute common denominators in more or less explicit interaction. Such problems had attempts to solve them by different social and political actors, who at various times and places sought to build more stable, equitable and modern Nation-States, capable of marking out the social and economic development of their inhabitants. In this direction, works were selected that address in their complexity, from the historical discipline, the aforementioned themes, based on unpublished and novel primary sources. Indeed, its authors, all historians, resort to court records, school manuals, laws, the press, among other documents, to advance in the understanding of the societies studied. ; El libro que el lector tiene ahora en sus manos, Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Se trata de miradas en las que problemas como el acceso a la justicia, el crimen, la educación y la configuración del Estado constituyen denominadores comunes en interacción más o menos explícita.
