On the basis of the hypothesis that the academic texts of the sages from classical Judaism (1st-8th centuries CE) form part of a restricted sphere, as opposed to other texts of later compilation, such as the so-called Minor Treatises of the Talmud –oriented more towards a public sphere with a didactic intention–, we will read one of these treatises in order to review the visibility (or invisibility) of women in its contents and arguments. One of these ethical texts, Kallah Rabbati, has been selected for being a treatise that orders daily issues that affect men and women, such as sexual relations in marriage, as well as other ethical considerations on human behaviour. Through the text we will analyse the role that women may have played in the academic sphere, in order to analyze how they are presented in the discourse; their possible role as transmitters or receivers of these didactic texts of classical Judaism.

This article explores how women's sexuality has played a central role in building and reproducing the collective identity of the nation in two countries, Ireland and Spain. It argues how a nationalisation of women's bodies created a symbolic and idealised version of womanhood, reinforced by a complex infrastructure of criminal code, places of rehabilitation and a system of surveillance operating through government, medical and religious institutions. We explore these processes through an analysis of the discourses governing prostitution in leading newspapers between 1939 and 1975, corresponding to the public nation-building projects to Catholic nationalism through the idealisation of family, motherhood and domestic life. Three key discourses from the newspaper coverage have been identified around prostitution: protecting the national body, the exile of women in prostitution and ordinary women as a threat, to trace the process of renewed nation building that occurred in both countries from the 1940s onwards.
Este trabajo aborda algunas cuestiones trascendentales que plantean las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en relación con los derechos de la persona. Un aspecto fundamental es la necesidad de explotar las posibilidades de las TIC para profundizar en la democracia y mejorar las relaciones de los ciudadanos con las administraciones públicas a través de la participación pública por medios electrónicos. A partir de ahí, se analiza el surgimiento de un auténtico derecho a relacionarse con las administraciones públicas por medios electrónicos, y la necesidad de que este derecho, ya incluido en España en las Cartas de derechos de algunas Comunidades Autónomas y en la normativa de la Unión Europea, adquiera el carácter de derecho fundamental a nivel constitucional. Este derecho tiene una especial trascendencia en el ámbito educativo, ya que implica la necesidad de una «alfabetización digital» que evite la conocida «brecha digital», que convierte a las TIC en una forma más de exclusión de colectivos desfavorecidos en lugar de cumplir las funciones de inclusión y progreso social a que están destinadas. This paper of a research addresses some important issues raised by the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in relation to individual rights. A key aspect is the need to exploit the potential of ICT to deepen democracy and improve relations between citizens and government through public participation through electronic media. From there, the author examines the emergence of a genuine right to interact with government through electronic media. This right has been already included in the charters of rights in some regions of Spain and in the rules of the European Union, and should be added to the Constitutions as a fundamental right. The right has a special significance in the educational field, since it implies the need for a «digital literacy» that avoids the well-known «eCompetency gap». This gap makes ICT a way of exclusion for disadvantaged groups instead of meeting the functions of inclusion and social progress as intended.

This article analyzes the determinants of age at first childbearing among young women in Spain. First, it provides a theoretical, conceptual and empirical review on the age as one of the determinants of first motherhood. Then, it analyses the results of the Synthetic Report of 2019 Youth Maternity Study performed by the Queen Sofia Center on Adolescence and Youth. Finally, a quantitative study is conducted with the sample of mothers, with the aim of analyzing the gender implications of variables influencing age at first childbearing. Age cohort, level of studies, employment and couple situation and availability of independent housing appear as the main determinant categories of an unwanted untimely motherhood pattern, characterized by unstable couple situations that affect the trajectory of women's life. The results indicate the need to generate public policies for equality and social justice
