A reascensão da extrema direita entre representações políticas dos sistemas alimentares

A escalada do populismo de extrema direita no Brasil tem ocorrido de forma articulada ao fortalecimento de pleitos radicalizados no heterogêneo campo do agronegócio. Este artigo aborda os modos como tais reivindicações extremistas têm sido recepcionadas entre as elites ligadas aos sistemas alimentares. A etnografia apresentada é desdobrada da interação entre o trabalho de campo com atores empresariais e políticos relacionados às commodities agropecuárias e a literatura sobre representações e programas prevalecentes na arena intersetorial. Os materiais empíricos compreendem, além dos registros de campo, documentos patronais e manifestações públicas de agentes privados e estatais. Os resultados mostram que, sob determinações econômicas, políticas e institucionais específicas, as posições mais radicais da direita no campo são, em grande extensão, condicionadas por representações dominantes. Por um lado, esse processo se revela no controle do negacionismo climático dos pleitos radicalizados; por outro lado, apresentase na instrumentalização das mais extremadas iniciativas contra os direitos territoriais indígenas.
