Organizational restoration of SDP in the easter occupation zone of Germany (may 1945-april 1946) ; Організаційне відновлення СДПН у східній окупаційній зоні Німеччини (травень 1945 – квітень 1946 рр.)
On the basis of published sources and researches of German authors, the article examines restoration of the composition, structure and interregional connections of the SDP in the Eastern occupation zone of Germany after a defeat of Nazism, when according to a decisions of Potsdam conference, the whole country was divided into four occupation zones: American, British, French and Soviet (Eastern). The author makes an attempt to analyze the reasons of the precedence of the SMAD, and it means the precedence of the USSR in the process of restoration of political life within the whole post-war Germany in comparison to Western occupied countries, since exactly on the initiative of the USSR governance from the 10th of June 1945 it was allowed to restore political parties on the territory of the Eastern occupation zone, and it provided the impetus for adjustment of political life in the occupied Germany. Such a hast demonstrated by the Soviet governance, according to the author, can be explained not by its striving for establishing of political pluralism among Germans and democratization of the country as one out of three main goals settled during the Potsdam conference, but first of all, by its aspiration to intercept the initiative and to start restoration of the political landscape of the occupied country according to its own plan under the circumstances of a political vacuum. For an entire control under a development of political life in the occupied Germany SMAD, which means the USSR, took a course on a total subordination of all political parties in the SBZ to its control, which led to violent merge of the KPD – the main support of the soviet government in the Eastern occupation zone of the SDP – a powerful political force of the country which always had a huge authority among the population of Germany- into a unified political party in April 1946. Since that time the SDP has ceased its existence. A merger of the SDP with the KPD in the SBZ did not find any support from social democrats of the Western occupation zones. ; У статті на основі опублікованих джерел і досліджень німецьких авторів ви- світлюється відновлення складу, структури та міжрегіональних зв'язків СДПН у Схід- ній окупаційній зоні Німеччини після розгрому нацизму.
