Der internationale Fachdialog "Heimat in vernetzten Welten" zeigt das Bemühen, gegenwärtige Entwicklungen mit Kategorien aus dem Werk Blochs zu erfassen und damit die Aktualität seines Werkes zu demonstrieren. Die programmatischen Begriffe "Vernetzung" und "Heimat" stehen dabei ganz bewusst im Zusammenhang mit den Diskussionen um die Zukunft unserer Gesellschaft. 'Vernetzung' ist das programmatische Stichwort für die strukturellen Pläne und Heimat steht für das Festhalten an der Utopie, mithin am fordernden Impuls der Philosophie von Ernst Bloch.

O texto mostra como Bloch quer liberar as motivações rebeldes do religioso a fim de que possam ser explicitados os seus conteúdos de esperança. Também deixa claro por que o autor presume que o ateísmo já está ativo no próprio cristianismo.
