The study of constitutional projects, as part of the history of Russian statehood, is especially relevant in connection with the formation of institutions of modern domestic constitutionalism. The impetus for the development of this process was received by the adoption of constitutional amendments in 2020. The study of constitutional projects is due to the fact that they contain aspects of theoretical constitutionalism, which is formed at each historical stage of the development of the state and society. The article analyzes the draft Constitution of the Union of Soviet Republics of Europe and Asia, which reflected the contradictions of one of the turning points in the modern history of Russia. Considering this project as part of the national history of state-building, its value and influence on the Constitution of the Russian Federation are emphasized, the formation of the Russian constitutional identity

The second edition of the reviewed book continues the research of the meaning of justice in the context of fairness, conducted by Professor M.I. Kleandrov. The review contains an analysis of the additions made to the monograph. In particular, the historical aspects of the appearance of fairness in human life are considered, subjective factors affecting the fairness of judicial acts are evaluated, etc.

The formation of the modern Russian model of constitutionalism is contextually predetermined by the study of its institutions. It is concluded that value orientations determine the criteria for the effectiveness of power and management, institutionalize legal awareness and law enforcement as regulators of public relations.

The actualization of the processes of improving constitutional prescriptions determines the need to search for the theoretical foundations of constitutional reforms. In the article, the author analyzes the procedures for revising the Constitution of the Russian Federation as a whole or her individual parts in the aspect of retrospective and comparative legal analysis, which is contextually predetermined by studies of the legal nature of the constituent power as an independent constitutional legal institution.

Developing in the system of universally recognized principles of legal statehood, Russia, being subjected to severe sanctions pressure, demonstrates commitment to constitutionally significant values while maintaining sovereignty in foreign and domestic policy. The divergence of forces integrating Russia into the world community and assuming the need to preserve state independence actualizes the importance of studying constitutional identity. Finding a theoretical model of balance between two opposing forces is a very difficult task, and here, the opposing force – the counterforce, creates the foundation for the stability of interaction, supporting and strengthening a complex multi-level system, the stability of the elements of which determines the effectiveness of modern Russian statehood.

The article examines the place and role of the Constitutional Court in the system of public powers in the doctrinal understanding of the concept of human rights and constitutionalism. The Constitution of the Russian Federation establishes the basic constitutional and legal principles that are fundamental to substantive and procedural law. Judicial constitutional review, as the experience of European countries shows, is the most effective in protecting the Constitution. The principles of law applied to the doctrinal assessment of the place and role of the Constitutional Court in the system of public powers constitute a rather dynamic legal concept. The methodology is based on the legal system, public relations, and the political-state course, which, like all fundamental ideas, change, affect legal awareness and establish new requirements for legal regulation and the formation of an appropriate mechanism. The article concludes that the most important condition for the implementation of the prerogatives of the judiciary to administer justice in the consideration and resolution of specific cases, with emphasis on the study and evaluation of evidence. It is the evidence that serves as the basis of information for the court's findings in the case.
