The article is devoted to the description of the pedagogic potentials of the discipline Basics of project activities. The discipline is the first component of the general system of preparing university students for project activities. The discipline allows informing students about the theoretical basis of design and creates the conditions for the acquisition of the first skills of the project activity. The article describes the structure and content of the discipline, technology and methods of its implementation. The author presents the results of a survey of students on the basis of the development of the discipline. The students appreciate the content, technology, teaching skills of the lecturer and pedagogues, leading practical classes. The author presents a vision of the development of discipline teaching methods.

The article is devoted to the problem of forming the value foundations of the information culture of students of the organisation of secondary vocational education. The information and educational environment is considered as a condition for the formation of the value foundations of the information culture of the individual. The paper presents a theoretical analysis of research on the formation of the value foundations of the information culture of the individual, as well as the creation of a value-rich information and educational environment. The analysis of the earlier studies of environmental issues allowed us to identify the components of a value-rich information and educational environment. The article describes the experimental work on the creation of an environment in an educational organisation of secondary vocational education that ensures the formation of the value foundations of the information culture of the individual. The paper describes the authors' diagnostic tools for assessing the influence of the educational environment of the organisation of secondary vocational education in the process of forming the information culture of students. Correlation analysis demonstrates that the saturation of the environment with the value foundations of information culture has a significant impact on the activities of the subjects of the educational process and, in general, on the formation of the value foundations of students' information culture.

The article is devoted to the problem of finding an effective methodology for the formation of the value bases of the college students' information culture of education in the design and research activities. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the experience of forming the value foundations of the information culture of the individual. The authors identify the stages of the process of formation of the value bases of the information culture of students in the organization of secondary vocational education. The article presents a description of experimental work, in the core of which there is design methodology's and research activities' modernisation with an emphasis on the formation of the value foundations of the information culture of the individual. The paper describes the author's diagnostic tools for assessing the dynamics of the formation of the value bases of the information culture of the individual according to the practice-activity criterion. The analysis of the results indicates the positive dynamics of the formation of the information culture value foundations. It is concluded that the presented results of the empirical study, as well as the secondary mathematical and statistical processing of the results by the chi-square method, confirm the effectiveness of the described work on the formation of the value foundations of the information culture of students of secondary vocational education.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the essential characteristics of educational practices and youth policy in educational institutions of higher education in the Russian Federation. The authors analyze a large data set, which included a description of 581 practices obtained during the Review-Competition of the best practices in educational activities and youth policy, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in 2022. The article characterizes the target, content, technological, subjective profile of educational practices and youth policy. The authors come to the conclusion that universities have emerged as an integrative subject of educational activities and youth policy. The analysis made it possible to record several significant characteristics that determine the modern landscape of education in universities: an imbalance of the target group of practices (dominated by junior undergraduate students); closedness of the university system of educational work; the dominance of the organizers of educational work in the subjective profile of practices; insufficient technologization of practices; insufficient development of mechanisms for assessing the effectiveness of educational practices. The identified characteristics and barriers can become the basis for continuing the discussion about promising directions for the development of education in universities. In addition, the characteristics identified in the competition can become the basis for the introduction of effective educational formats, in accordance with the state request, the characteristics of the university environment and the student's request.

The article is devoted to presenting the experience of studying the influence of various forms of pre-vocational training on the profession choice by the Kostroma Region's first and second-year students. The article presents a description of the statistical data; options and motivation for the profession choice by young students; the role of additional education organisations in the choice of a future profession; the role of school core classes in choosing a future profession; degree of students' satisfaction with the choice of future profession.The authors come to conclusions about the late period of professional self-determination of respondents, about a rather high level of independence in professional choice; however, also about the obviously insufficient role of various forms of pre-vocational education in the process of professional self-determination. The authors note that the influence of additional education is critical to the development of various personal qualities of students, but it virtually does not affect their professional choice. The specialised classes are neither effective as atool for vocational guidance. A large proportion of respondents complain about the absence of core classes at their school, and many of those who had studied in the core class, regret that today. What the authors try to present their research as, is conclusion about the need for serious transformations in the vocational guidance system of Kostroma Region.
