Der Autor gibt eine Einleitung in den Gegenstand und die Ausrichtung der neueren Forschungsdebatte über die politische Soziologie Pierre Bourdieus, welcher in der vorliegenden Zeitschrift mehrere Beiträge gewidmet sind. Den unzähligen Würdigungen und Rezeptionen des Bourdieuschen Werkes soll jedoch nicht eine weitere hinzugefügt werden, das besondere Interesse gilt vielmehr den Analysen Bourdieus im "politischen Feld", das durch die zunehmende Konzentration kulturellen Kapitals in den Blickpunkt einer empirischen und theoretischen Soziologie der Politik rückt. In den einzelnen Beiträgen werden zwar unterschiedliche Standpunkte und Interpretationen im Sinne einer Debatte "für oder gegen Bourdieu" eingenommen, jedoch verbindet sich die Eröffnung der Diskussion mit der Hoffnung, dass weitere Forschungsperspektiven und Anschlussfragen zur Relevanz der soziologischen Erkenntnisse Bourdieus für die Politikwissenschaft folgen mögen. A debate begun in a previous issue of the Swiss Political Science Review is continued in the current edition through two supplementary contributions. The idea behind the debate is to establish a forum through which various authors can clarify certain aspects of Pierre Bourdieu's work & raise questions about what he has brought to contemporary political analysis. The current article by Bernard Lacroix (2002) is dedicated to an analysis of the reception Bourdieu's work met in hexagonal political science, & is less an examination of his theoretical contribution than an empirical analysis of the social history of a scientific discipline. Jacques Lagroye's (2002) contribution looks at the classic object of political science, the institution, & shows how Bourdieu's work sidesteps the objectivist error that tends to reify the institution, showing instead that the institution is the product of social practices. The first aspect assumes a disciplinary dimension & concerns more precisely the intellectual obstacles linked to the division of scientific disciplines (in this case between political science & sociology). The second aspect concerns Pierre Bourdieu's analyses regarding the political universe, analyses whose orientation, foundations, & content are considerably removed from those that are, notwithstanding their diversity, habitually carried out in political science. Contre les tentatives visant à fonder l'objet de la discipline sur un domaine repérable dans la réalité, cette contribution propose une conception qui saisit le politique comme objet problématique des sciences sociales. Il s'agit moins de s'interroger sur la délimitation empirique que d'élaborer un point de vue pour construire le politique à partir des apports de l'anthropologie, de la sociologie et de l'histoire. Dans cette perspective, le politique apparaît comme étant à la fois différencié en un espace de pratiques spécialisé et immergé dans les logiques profondes du monde social.
