W artykule podjęto namysł nad specyfiką współwystępowania i wzajemnych powiązań między kilkoma odrębnymi znaczeniowo kategoriami: rodzicielstwem, autokreacją i biografią. Przy czym rozważania te przebiegają w kilku płaszczyznach zorientowanych na uchwycenie istoty: a) rodzicielstwa rozpoznawanego jako procesu urzeczywistniania dynamicznej wartości towarzyszenia dziecku, b) autokreacji ujmowanej w całożyciowym planie rozwoju osobowego człowieka dorosłego w kontekście jego dążenia do bycia i stawania się rodzicem, c) integralnego charakteru związku biografii indywidualnej i zbiorowej (wspólnotowej) z autokreacją osoby dorosłej przebiegającą w przestrzeni wspólnoty małżeńskiej i rodzinnej, d) biograficznego wymiaru autokreacji do rodzicielstwa biologicznego i adopcyjnego.
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie argumentacji uzasadniającej tezę, że wspomniane kategorie nie tylko współwystępują, ale w praktyce współistnieją w określonych relacjach zależnościowych. Praca biograficzna małżonków i pozostałych członków rodziny rozpatrywana na poziomie indywidualnym zachowuje łączność symboliczną z biografiami małżeńską i rodzinną. Autokreacja małżonków zachodzi na podłożu ich autorefleksyjnego odniesienia się do własnej biografii zorientowanego prospektywnie. Rodzicielstwo wreszcie rozpatrywane jako proces osiągania dojrzałości rodzica w wieloaspektowo ujmowanym towarzyszeniu dziecku może się urzeczywistniać na podłożu jego osobowej autokreacji do rodzicielstwa.

Abstract
The article discusses the key meaning of meeting, understood as an existential event and considered in the perspective of the paradigm of unity. The two mentioned categories: meeting and paradigm of unity are not presented in the literature in the context of their direct relation to each other. Therefore, the main problem presented in the paper is: how far they are cognitively relevant. The starting point for reflections is the recognition of a meeting situation in the perspective of human spiritual development which happens through turning towards the other. This development is experienced in overcoming the tension between the declarative attitude towards the mutual love and the real act expressing the actual openness to this gift. According to Chiara Lubich, the gift of love is the central category of the paradigm of unity. If we follow Thomas Kuhn and define the paradigm as a worldview that unites a community in their holistic vision of the world, then it is the meeting that is an integral and necessary element of this paradigm. Experiencing a meeting, in this context, is the condition for reaching the spiritual unity in a community of people who are led by mutual love and out of that love bear with one another in their otherness.

The article focuses on the social and cultural dimension of the process of revitalization and rehabilitation of abandoned and decaying industrial buildings occurring in large numbers in the Upper Silesia conurba-tion. These processes are of increasing importance from the point of view of social change in respect of social structure, as well as in terms of the integrity and identity of local communities living in residential neighborhoods near degenerated areas and industrial buildings. Particularly focused on buildings that are revitalized and rehabilitated are young people who shape social and cultural identity with the local communities and with the region.

In this study the authors discuss the issue of changes related to the integration and disintegration of family as regards the interaction of external factors listed among modern civilization threats. The authors assume that family is a special type of community life as compared to other forms of communities on various levels of social structure. It has a function to protect its members in the relations with the outside world, and at the same time it prepares them to take active part in the world and integrates them with what is outside. Coherence and durability of the family is in this context of key importance not only for development processes, quality and functioning of family members (both children and parents), but also for getting them ready to take up actions that contribute new values to the family life.
The form and structure of the text are shaped as the theoretical analysis created on the basis of empirical research published in scientific literature. The objective of this article is not the detailed description and interpretation of the research, but rather an attempt to intellectually exceed the boundaries of the research in order to define the significance of communication processes and the authenticity of family relationships for building the atmosphere of emotional kindness and the feeling of mutual support within the space of the family community. The consequence of such processes is the positive stimulation as regards taking up developmental tasks by the family members (both children and parents), which are realised in various circles of social, cultural and educational interactions of the social environment.
The constructive image of the theoretical analysis is disclosed in the considerations focused on methodical values of the strategy of family dialogue set in the perspective of specific behavior and attitudes of the family members as confronted with stereotypical fear of weakening the position and authority of the parents.

Opracowanie przybliża wyzwania związane ze starzeniem się populacji ludzkich przyw uwzględnieniu wyłaniania się społeczeństw i gospodarek kreatywnych. Na początku XXI wieku przemianom pracy i czasu wolnego towarzyszą kwestie utrzymania solidarności pokoleń i przeciwdziałania wykluczeniu robotycznemu. W artykule zarysowane zostały najważniejsze cechy nowych instytucji kultury typu "medialab", laboratoriów mediów, które mogą zostać wykorzystane do realizacji działań na rzecz kształtowania pozytywnych odpowiedzi wobec tych wyzwań w ramach wspierania rozwoju "srebrnej gospodarki" i gerontechnologii. Zwraca się również uwagę na potrzeby i możliwości umocowania ich w politykach rozwoju międzypokoleniowości.

Abstract The goal of the paper is to identify the message in letters written by Polish and Czech seniors. The letters were subject to qualitative analysis. The method used was the analysis of the inspired texts—letters written by older people to the younger generation, which may become a didactic tool for the younger generations to learn from the biographies of seniors. The result of the analysis is a list of categories reflecting the main aspects dominating in the letters. These categories are: message addressed to a younger generation, important events and people in individual life story, reflection upon the meaning of life and concerns and challenges in the course of life. All the seniors express their affirmation of family, share ethical reflections on their relationships with other people and on passing. Thus, the main message of the letters is a call to cherish family relationships, nurture relations with other people and show respect to others.
