AbstractThe aspiration‐level interactive method (AIM) is a useful decision tool that takes advantage of the idea of satisficing as well as other concepts of multiple criteria decision making (MCDM). In this paper we describe a web version of AIM: WebAIM. It is a logical extension of earlier versions of AIM and was developed using Visual Studio.NET. WebAIM enables accessing our method easily and efficiently on the Internet. It promotes the use and applications of our method. By exploring the relationship with Simon's satisficing, we provide further insight into AIM. We introduce the features of WebAIM, and demonstrate the usage of the program through a house selection problem. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
