A rehabilitation of the Faffa Foods Plant was completed in March 1985 but already now it can be concluded that the capacity is too small to cope with the present demand for the Faffa products due to the disaster situation in Ethiopia. All production is now directed toward fulfilling the relief demand and there are no sales at all on the commercial market. In the light of this the Ethiopian Food Corporation has made plans for a second plant in Wollo (Dessie) and a study undertaken within the Swedish Development Corporation Office has pointed to the substantial savings in transport costs that a new factory would entail
