A report of a 3-yr study to determine what changes in S att's, if any, toward personal pol'al participation were produced by participation-oriented, 'integrated'pol'al sci courses vs standard traditional ones. To measure these att's, a 22-item Likert-type scale was devised. Results show that in each case, at the outset, the typical S attitude toward pol'al participation was close to the indifference point, & that no signif changes were produced by courses of any type. Undergraduates might well be expected to mirror the apathy of their elders toward politics. IPSA.
