"Guilty of Being White" : Die (Un-)Möglichkeit antirassistischer 'weißer' Subjektpositionen im amerikanischen Hardcore Punk der 1980er Jahre

Michel Foucaults Verhältnis zum Neoliberalismus ; "You too, Brutus?" Michel Foucault's Relation to Neoliberalism
; In Foucault and Neoliberalism Michael C. Behrent, historian, and Daniel Zamora, sociologist, historicize Michel Foucault's intellectual engagement with (neo-)liberal theory in order to criticize his status as left thinker – and the concordant prevalence of his approaches. This volume brings together seven critical perspectives on the intellectual and political development of the 'late' Foucault in order to open up the possibility of a more effective, left critical theory; instead of dismissing his extra-ordinary influence, this essay collection delineates thought-provoking analytical approaches that fuse Foucault's 'governmentality' framework with Marxist ideology critique.

State of the Art: RESEARCH DIRECTIONS IN DECISION MAKING UNDER UNCERTAINTY*

ABSTRACTThis paper considers the modeling of decision‐making problems under uncertainty, indicating current gaps in knowledge and promising research directions. Technical details are omitted, and no attempt is made to review past work since excellent recent reviews are available. The discussion of research topics is divided into four categories: model formulation, modeling uncertainty, modeling preferences, and modeling competitive and group decisions. The primary focus is normative, although descriptive work that can be valuable from a normative perspective is included. The suggested research directions cover the entire spectrum from theory to application.Subject Areas: Decision Analysis, Statistical Decision Theory, and Game Theory.

Hardcore research: punk, practice, politics
In: Culture & theory, Volume 281
For more than 40 years, hardcore and punk have promised to offer an alternative to what is perceived as the norm and as mainstream. Hardcore Research: Punk, Practice, Politics provides a comprehensive insight into the most active, outspoken, and widely received scholarly positions in the academic discourses on hardcore and punk and combines them with a variety of new and emerging voices. The book brings together scholars with personal ties to past and present hardcore and punk scenes, who present both insightful and critical examinations of the rich and varied histories of this subcultural phenomenon and its current reverberations at the intersection of cultural practice and academic research.
