The purpose of the article is to identify the factors of influence of Chinese symphony orchestras on the enrichment of the socio-cultural space of the country. An important task is to characterize the activities, which provide artistic events and saturation of the cultural landscape with new layers of content.
The methodology is based on the application of systemic and socio-cultural approaches; the event analysis method and the descriptive method are applied too.
The results of the study. China's socio-cultural space has undergone significant changes in the last few decades, and its structure is complex and multidimensional. It can be stated that the function of the determining system-forming factor of its unity can be performed by culture.
One of the conditions for the successful functioning and development of national musical culture in its musical segment is the development of the most complex genre areas — symphony and opera. Symphony orchestras, an attribute of modern music culture, currently work in the biggest cities of the country. During the policy of reforms and openness, radical changes took place in the activities of orchestras. Among other things, an important mission of the orchestras was to perform works by Chinese composers who are actively mastering the field of music, which is relatively new to the national culture.
According to the study's analysis of various aspects of symphony orchestras in modern China, these creative groups are actively involved not only in the musical and cultural process, but also in the socio-cultural process as a whole. Their contribution to the renewal and enrichment of China's cultural landscape is made both at the event level and at the substantive level.
The repertoire policy of orchestras, which is implemented in two directions — involving listeners in masterpieces of world music and promoting the work of the most talented domestic composers — ensures the diversity of the sound environment of the country and stimulates various forms of intercultural communication. In addition to their natural professional activities, which have a strong influence on society, Chinese orchestras often resort to effective artistic actions, delivering unique messages to society on issues relevant to it: environmental protection, historical memory, values of national traditions and more. Transferring the reaction to socially significant events into the plane of creative rethinking, which has become widespread in modern Chinese culture, strengthens the unity of various elements of socio-cultural space.
The scientific novelty is determined by the analysis of the activities of Chinese symphony orchestras in view of their integration into the socio-cultural environment of the country. A significant amount of new information has been introduced into scientific circulation.
The practical significance. The results of the study can be used in scientific work in the field of culturology, as well as taken into account in the further planning of creative projects and forms of activities of orchestras, both in China and in other countries.

We investigate the macroeconomic determinants of corporate spreads using a no-arbitrage technique. Structural shocks are identified by a New-Keynesian model. Treasury bonds are priced in an affine model with time-varying risk premia. Corporate bonds are priced in a reduced-form credit risk model where default risk depends on macroeconomic state variables. Using U.S. data, we find that the monetary policy shock contributes to more than 50% the corporate spread variations at different forecasting horizons. Its contribution, in general, declines with credit classes. In contrast, the aggregate supply and demand shocks contribute more to the spread variations in low credit classes than in high credit classes. In addition, they in general contribute more for longer forecasting horizons.

Sustainable entrepreneurship is an economic activity that integrates entrepreneurial activities with environmental and social sustainability, which is a frontier research field that integrates the triple bottom line of economy, environment, and society. A comprehensive survey was conducted in this study by collecting data from 203 potential entrepreneurs in China, such as employees with work experience, freelancers, and college students, by means of a questionnaire in March 2022. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to investigate the research hypotheses considered, testing the impact of entrepreneurial intention on sustainable entrepreneurial behavior from the perspective of risk perception and institutional environment. The reliability and validity of the measurements are demonstrated. The outcomes from the conducted analyses show that entrepreneurial intention and risk perception do not directly affect sustainable entrepreneurial behavior, while entrepreneurial intention significantly affects risk perception. Moreover, risk perception serves a mediating role in the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and sustainable entrepreneurship. The institutional environment positively predicts sustainable entrepreneurship behavior and could even have a greater effect by reducing risk perception. Hence, this study suggests that the government should provide policy and financial support to create an open, stable, and inclusive institutional environment, to reduce the cost and risk of innovation and entrepreneurship. At the same time, it also provides theoretical and practical references for potential entrepreneurs to improve their entrepreneurial intention and carry out sustainable entrepreneurial behavior.

In recent years, square-dancing has produced a widespread social influence in China and has led to the emergence of a new type of 'cultural life'. This article focuses on the emergence and significance of Chinese square-dancing as group cultural life. Square-dancing is a kind of public fitness activity with both fitness and spirit-enriching functions. It is an important carrier of social communication. Individuals enter the square space through 'guanxi (relationship and connections with others)-seeking' and spontaneous interest. Through role stratification and interactions among small groups, 'dance teachers' – 'backbone members' – 'ordinary members' interactive circle community life is formed inside the square-dancing group. This group activity, on one hand, awakens the memory of the individual's collective life and realizes the inheritance of the collective culture; on the other hand, it realizes the reconstruction of collective ritual through the form of group performance.

The theory of street-level bureaucracy and its relevant data have proven the expected duties of the frontline staff of local government may be excessive but their time spent working remains quite low. Using data from participatory observations of street-level officials in a Chinese city, this study reveals the logic of this labour input paradox. Organizational climate incentive and promotional incentive jointly influence the time allocation of street-level bureaucrats. The organizational climate incentive reflects the weak incentive characteristic of the maintenance function of labour; promotional incentives have a strong impact on motivation, which is characteristic of the promotional function of labour. These findings reveal the costs of the New Public Management movement in an organization lacking an effective promotion mechanism and a positive organizational climate incentive. This is a snapshot of the dilemma faced by China's public organization reforms, but it is also a problem other country must solve.

Although involved in the age of globalisation,1 China has become more centralised. After the decentralisation from 1978 to 1993, the trend of centralisation2 has been once again strengthened since 1994, which was called re-centralisation by some scholars. Many scholars only focus on the period since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, but they fail to find out the root cause for re-centralisation. They ignore the fact that the 1994 Tax-sharing System Reform is an important sign of China's re-centralisation, the answer may lie in it. In this article, we analyse the 1994 Tax-Sharing System from the perspective of Weber's theory of domination and find out that the anxiety of the new Chinese central government in the early 1990s was the motivation for both tax reform and re-centralisation. At that time, the new central government could rely on none of Weber's types of legitimate authority to maintain efficient operations because the charismatic authority3 of central leaders had weakened since the era of Deng Xiaoping, and the new type of authority had not been established. In these circumstances, the central government was eager to reshape the authority to stabilise the centralised order, which was also the basic motivation for Tax-Sharing System Reform.
