In this study, it was examined whether the teachers' in-class practices towards multicultural education in Kosovo differ according to gender, professional seniority, mother tongue, level and branch variables. Descriptive screening model was used in the study. The study group consisted of 975 Turkish, Albanian and Bosnian teachers working in the provinces of Prizren, Pristina, Mamusha, Reçane and Restelitsa in the 2016-2017 academic year. The education In-Class Practices Scale m developed by the researcher as a data collection tool to determine the classroom practices of teachers for multicultural educational practices was applied in this study. The results of the study showed that some variables differed significantly on classroom teaching practices. These are the mother tongue, the level, and the branch variables. On the other hand, it was determined that gender and professional seniority variables did not cause a significant difference in classroom practices.
As a result of the study, it has been suggested that in-service training for teaching cultural differences for Turkish, Albanian and Bosnian native language teachers, the number of activities aimed at teaching cultural differences in activities related to different cultural values in schools textbooks should be increased and new program designs for multicultural education should be developed.

In Migrationsdiskursen wird einerseits von einem Zusammenhang zwischen Geschichtsbewusstsein und Integration ausgegangen, andererseits wird die heterogene Bevölkerung mit Zuwanderungsgeschichte als homogene Gruppe unsachlich zusammengefasst. Diversitätskategorien und generationelle Differenzierung bleiben dabei unbeachtet, wodurch gruppenspezifische Einblicke fehlen.Lale Yildirim hat daher an verschiedenen Schulformen empirisch das Geschichtsbewusstsein, die Integration und die Identitätskonstruktion autochthoner Schüler_innen sowie Schüler_innen mit türkeibezogenem Migrationshintergrund der dritten Generation erhoben. Die transdisziplinäre Studie analysiert den »Diasporakomplex« und das »doppelte semi-historische Bewusstsein« der Jugendlichen und ermöglicht eine Typologie historischer Identitätskonstruktion.

A. Kadir Yildirim and other scholars have used the term "Muslim Democrat" to describe moderate Islamist political parties, suggesting a parallel with Christian Democratic parties in Europe. These parties (MDPs) are marked by their adherence to a secular political regime, normative commitment to the rules of a democratic political system, and the democratic political representation of a religious identity. In this book, Yildirim draws on extensive field research in Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco to examine this phenomenon and assess the interaction of economic and political factors in the development of MDPs. Distinguishing between "competitive [economic] liberalization" and "crony liberalization," he argues that MDPs are more likely to emerge and succeed in the context of the former. He summarizes that the broader implication is that the economic liberalization models adopted by governments in the region in the wake of the Arab Spring have significant implications for the future direction of party systems and democratic reform

This study presents a comprehensive, balanced and factually grounded narrative of the Turco-Greek Exchange of Populations as a historic event that has been the subject of much distortion in the historiographical traditions of nationalist lore in Greece and Turkey, as well as in scholarly publications of various sorts elsewhere over the span of the past eighty years. Diplomacy and Displacement contributes to the general literature on the Exchange by incorporating into the broader picture the Turkish dimension of the event, particularly the Turkish side of the decision-making process

Presenting a narrative of the Turco-Greek Exchange of Populations as a historic event, this book contributes to the general literature on the Exchange. By adopting a people-centred approach to the Lausanne Treaty and its consequences, the book offers a critique of official versions of the story and encourages people to consider policy decisions.

Bu çalışma, modernite bağlamında kurgulanan akıl olgusunun, 20. yüzyılda yaşanan gelişmelerin ardından yakın dönemdeki eleştirileri bağlamında yeniden değerlendirilmesini ve demokratik siyaset ile ilişkisini irdelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, başlangıçta modernitenin akıl düşüncesi ve tarihsel süreçteki gelişimi incelenmiş; ardından modern akla yöneltilen eleştiriler ele alınmıştır. Peşi sıra, eleştirilere, iletişimsel eylem kuramı perspektifinde iletişimsel akıl kavramıyla karşılık vererek çözüm üretmeyi amaçlayan Jürgen Habermas'ın söylemi tartışılmıştır. Buradan yola çıkılarak Habermas'ın söyleminden hareketle siyasal akla dair geliştirilebilecek yeni bir bakışla siyaset merkezli bir okuma denenmiştir. Sonuçta çalışmada, Habermas'ın iletişimsel akıl kavramı perspektifinde geliştirilecek yeni demokrasi formunun, güncel demokrasi arayışlarına cevap olabileceği vurgusuna odaklanılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel bir yöntem izlenerek; literatür taraması ve kuramsal ve kavramsal çerçevenin oluşturulmasının ardından birincil ve ikincil kaynaklar, alternatif okumalar, eleştirel yaklaşım ve metinler yorumlayıcı yöntemle ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. Toplumsal fenomenleri anlamaya yönelik karşılaştırmalı bir eleştirel okuma biçimi olarak yorumlayıcı yöntem ile yürütülen kavramsal ve kuramsal tartışma sayesinde siyasal ve toplumsal olan arasındaki bağlamsal ilişkinin ortaya çıkarılması planlanmıştır.
