Pod koniec listopada 1941 r. doszło do dyskusji między Gustavem Abbem, szefem Głównego Zarządu Bibliotek w Generalnym Gubernatorstwie, i Kajetanem Mühlmannem, Pełnomocnikiem Specjalnym do Spraw Zabezpieczenia Dzieł Sztuki i Zabytków Kultury, na temat ewentualnego przekazania do Staatsbibliothek obiektów bibliotecznych "zabezpieczonych" przez Urząd Mühlmanna. Raport z tej konfrontacji doskonale obrazuje dwoistość postaw funkcjonariuszy GG wobec dóbr skonfiskowanych z rozkazu i w imieniu władz niemieckich na okupowanych polskich ziemiach, tak jak i ich biegłość w dostosowaniu wywodu do korzystnych dla Niemiec, lecz niezgodnych z prawem międzynarodowym, koncepcji prawnych, w tym wypadku do idei debellatio.
This book presents ample, richly illustrated account on results and experience from a project, dealing with the analysis of data concerning behavior patterns on the Web. The advertising on the Web is dealt with, and the ultimate issue is to assess the share of the artificial, automated activity (ads fraud), as opposed to the genuine human activity. After a comprehensive introductory part, a full-fledged report is provided from a wide range of analytic and design efforts, oriented at: the representation of the Web behavior patterns, formation and selection of telling variables, structuring of the populations of behavior patterns, including the use of clustering, classification of these patterns, and devising most effective and efficient techniques to separate the artificial from the genuine traffic. A series of important and useful conclusions is drawn, concerning both the nature of the observed phenomenon, and hence the characteristics of the respective datasets, and the appropriateness of the methodological approaches tried out and devised. Some of these observations and conclusions, both related to data and to methods employed, provide a new insight and are sometimes surprising. The book provides also a rich bibliography on the main problem approached and on the various methodologies tried out.
The main purpose of this report is to elaborate on the strategies for working with people with disabilities and showing a grand potential of this type of cooperation when developing computer games and animations. We have made a point of a thorough investigation and formulating conclusions, which would allow representatives of game design and animation industries to prepare and organize sessions which people with disabilities could participate in, bearing in mind technological, acting and communication conditioning. In our research, we employed the method of participant observation, open and controlled, connected with the analysis of video materials recorded during sessions. The project can be described in terms of scientific and practical assumptions of occupational therapy as subjects were directly and indirectly involved in the process of developing animations. The effect of the project, apart from the following report, are three types of multimedia materials. In the CD attached to the report, one can find ready animations showing multiple ways of employing unique movement strategies of people with disabilities in games and films, as well as video material, on the one hand, documenting our work with subjects and, on the other, serving as a tutorial. The CD also contains rich and valuable coverage from the sessions, which can be used by companies from game and animation industries in their projects. We encourage to use it in this way whole-heartedly. This project was carried out in the Department of Journalism and Communication at the University of Lower Silesia in Wroclaw between January and November 2015 as part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education programme "University of Young Inventors" partially financed by the European Union programme "Innovative Economy". This programmed aimed at strengthening research co-operation between universities and junior and senior high schools. Operational Programme Digital Poland - "Priority axis III: Digital competences of the society" focuses on raising digital activity in order to allow fully use possibilities of high-speed Internet and new public e-services.
It comprises four actions including Training activities for development of digital competences with allocation of 180 mln PLN (divided into two competitions dedicated to NGOs).
The point of reference for all the projects of the axis III is a document named The framework catalogue of digital competences. An important assumption of the catalogue is the connection between the digital competences and the users' needs and the benefits that they may gain in the key areas of life. The document, commissioned by the Ministry of Administration and Digitization, is of vital importance in the implementation of the new model in recognizing digital competences- the relational model.
The ejecta composition is an open question in gamma-ray burst (GRB) physics . Some GRBs possess a quasi-thermal spectral component in the time-resolved spectral analysis , suggesting a hot fireball origin. Others show a featureless non-thermal spectrum known as the Band function , consistent with a synchrotron radiation origin and suggesting that the jet is Poynting-flux dominated at the central engine and probably in the emission region as well . There are also bursts showing a sub-dominant thermal component and a dominant synchrotron component , suggesting a probable hybrid jet composition . Here, we report an extraordinarily bright GRB 160625B, simultaneously observed in gamma-ray and optical wavelengths, whose prompt emission consists of three isolated episodes separated by long quiescent intervals, with the durations of each sub-burst being approximately 0.8 s, 35 s and 212 s, respectively. Its high brightness (with isotropic peak luminosity L ≈ 4 × 10 erg s) allows us to conduct detailed time-resolved spectral analysis in each episode, from precursor to main burst and to extended emission. The spectral properties of the first two sub-bursts are distinctly different, allowing us to observe the transition from thermal to non-thermal radiation between well-separated emission episodes within a single GRB.
