The edition entitled Edebiyatta Posthümanizm [Posthumanism in Literature] is the first edition in the Turkish language which introduces the narrative of posthumanism in Anglo-American Literature and Culture. This edition is the first book of the Posthumanism Series by TPLondon, edited by Sümeyra Buran, that examines how posthumanism is conceptualized in literary writing by studying the western traditional binaries, e.g. human and nature, human and non-humans, and so forth, that have nurtured the ideology and mentality of western societies for centuries. This edition also examines the contribution of literature in presenting alternative ideas and thoughts by laying the ground of Posthumanities in Turkey by opening new doors for the readers to understand the changing status of man and the nature of the relationship (e.g. hybrid, parasitic, etc.) between the human and more-than-human world.

Through the burgeoning fields of Posthumanities and Environmental Humanities, this edition examines the changing conception of human subjectivity, agency, and citizenship as shaped by the dynamic interplays between nature, technology, science, and culture. The proposed 'symbiotic turn', (the awareness of the multitude of interactions and mutual interdependencies among humans, non-humans and their environment) aspires to explore the complex recompositions of the "human" in the 21st century. By organizing and promoting interdisciplinary dialogue at multiple levels, both in theory and practice, Symbiotic Posthumanist Ecologies is suggested as a new narrative about the biosphere and technosphere, which is embodied literarily, philosophically, and artistically.

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between posthumanism and sustainability and contribute to the interdisciplinary concept of posthuman sustainability. We conducted a scoping review of 45 peer-reviewed journal articles that met our inclusion criteria and employed co-occurrence analysis based on the clustering techniques of the VOSviewer. We identified five themes within the articles: post-humanism, post-anthropocentrism, post-dualism, post-Enlightenment, and post-technologism. Through our analysis, we found that posthumanism can offer insights into ecological issues and help promote alternative sustainable practices. We also identified three immediate concerns for post/humanities scholars: (1) fostering dialogue between critical humanist and posthumanist scholarship based on onto-epistemological plurality, (2) achieving conceptual clarity in the field, and (3) advocating for meaningful engagement with indigenous worldviews in a multidimensional and multitemporal manner. By exploring the relationship between posthumanism and sustainability, we hope to expand our knowledge of the urgent ecological issues we face and contribute to interdisciplinary efforts to address them.
