Travel and accommodation Web services are used to promote tourism services and to attract customers offering them the opportunity to book accommodation services online, to communicate and for many other tourism activities. The goals of the article are: (i) to investigate the current trends in usage of Web services for online accommodation reservation in selected European countries, and (ii) to investigate the habits and readiness of individual Croatian travellers regarding the usage of Web services for the accommodation reservation. Respondents were asked to evaluate indicators that effect on the selection of different Web services and functionalities for three Web services regarding accommodation reservation (Airbnb, booking.com, TripAdvisor). Data was collected using an online questionnaire which was distributed by Facebook, WhatsApp, and sent by email. Research results indicate that the percentage of individuals who are using the Internet for tourism services is growing through years in European Union countries, but the differences among the countries are also strongly evident. However, research results regarding individual Croatian travellers indicate that almost half of the respondents have never used the option of booking accommodation through Web services.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) presents the innovative information technology that can change and improve many of the enterprises collaboration operations and support decision making process. The best results of RFID usage are achieved in the supply chain systems, but RFID can be applied in the fields of medicine, finance, logistics and trade. Goal of this paper is to evaluate trends and purposes of RFID usage among enterprises in European Union. We also analyse usage of RFID among Enterprises in European Union according to the industry. Future research will focus on application of RFID among enterprises worldwide and to examine are there any differences in RFID usage among developed and developing countries.

Glavni cilj rada je raspraviti i prikazati sustav sljedivosti koji se koristi kako bi se postigla sigurnost i kvaliteta hrane koristeći sistematsko praćenje kretanja hrane; od praćenja sirovina do gotovih proizvoda.U radu je predstavljen integrirani model sljedivosti, upravljanje sustavom kvalitete i zakonodavni okvir sljedivosti u državama članicama Europske Unije. Integrirani model sljedivosti koji je opisan u radu sastoji se od tri sloja: preduvjeta sljedivosti (zakonodavni okvir, upravljanje kvalitetom, informacijsko-komunikacijska infrastruktura), forme/vrste sljedivosti (unutarnja i lanac sljedivosti) i cilj sljedivosti (sigurnost hrane). Pravovremeni nadzor i precizno praćenje procesa proizvodnje hrane, tijekom vremena i mjesta je glavni faktor koncepta sljedivosti. Koncept sljedivosti hrane pruža odgovarajuće informacije vezano uz sigurnost hrane, a mogu se dobiti jedino integriranim pristupom čitavom procesu. Rad predstavlja znanstveni doprinos u tri glavna područja: (i) unutarnji odnosi između zakonodavnog okvira, upravljanja kvalitetom i informacijsko-komunikacijskom infrastrukturom sljedivosti, (ii) zajednički utjecaj na unutarnju sljedivost kako i na lanac sljedivosti, (iii) integrirani model sljedivosti kao preduvjet sigurnosti hrane. ; The main goal of the article is to discuss and elaborate the traceability systems that are utilized with the goal of attaining food safety through the systematic monitoring of physical movement of food-related raw materials and finished products. The article is of a descriptive character and is related to scientific literature, but also to the legal framework of traceability in the European Union as well as to quality management systems. The article presents the integrated model of traceability, which consists of the following three layers: prerequisites of traceability (legal framework, quality management, ICT infrastructures), forms of traceability (internal and chain traceability), and the goal of traceability (food safety). Timely monitoring and accurate recording of the product modification process, in this case food, through time and space, is the main feature of the concept of traceability. Traceability of the food-related information for the purpose of food safety can be attained only by using an integrated approach to the process. The article presents the scientific developments in three main areas, namely: (i) inter-relation among the legal framework, quality management and the ICT infrastructure of traceability; (2) the mutual impact of internal and chain traceability; (3) the integrated model of traceability as a prerequisite of food safety.

AbstractSocial responsibility (SR) informally promotes systemic behavior by concepts of interdependence and holism in ISO 26000. SR principles demand transparency including communication of SR covered in company communications with its public. Banks are found problematic in transparency world‐wide but are active regarding SR communication, which is especially important because banks critically impact society and its economic development. The banks' role in developing and underdeveloped countries is especially important because of their impact on countries' development, which increases the importance of their SR. Often, banks in these countries are subsidiaries of the large international banks. This article compares SR websites communication of large European multinational banks in their parent and subsidiary countries; content analysis is applied. Results implicate that banks in subsidiary countries have a significantly lower level of SR communication than the parent countries, and the difference tends to be higher in less developed countries.
