Cepljenje otrok je v Sloveniji po zakonu obvezno in starši nimajo možnosti za svobodno odločitev glede tega. Področje obveznega cepljenja po teoriji Foucaulta spada v biopolitično oblast s primesmi disciplinarne oblasti. Ta vrsta oblasti ima nadzor nad vsemi biološkimi procesi, kot so razploditev, rodnost in smrtnost, nivo zdravja, trajanje življenja, dolgoživost, hkrati pa vrši tudi nadzor nad vsemi pogoji, ki na te procese vplivajo. Gre za celoten sistem intervencij in urejevalnih kontrol, biopolitika populacije. To je oblast vzpodbujanja, usmerjanja, reguliranja in nadzora, preko katere se upravlja telesa in življenja. Šole, vojašnice, zapori, psihiatrične institucije so se razvili kot instrumenti regulacije populacije, prav tako pa med te instrumente spadata javno zdravstvo in obvezno cepljenje, ki omogočata podvrženje teles in nadzor populacije. Obvezno cepljenje je v zahodnem delu Evrope večinoma prostovoljno, medtem ko v Sloveniji in državah južne in vzhodne evrope vlada obvezno cepljenje. V primeru neupoštevanja zakona o obveznem cepljenju so starši v prekršku, zaradi česar je zagrožena denarna globa. ; In Slovenia immunisation of children is mandatory by law and parents do not have the freedom to make the decisions regarding it. In Foucault's theory compulsory immunisaton falls under the biopolitical power with elements of the disciplinary authority. This type of authority has power over all human biological processes, such as procreation, fertility and mortality, level of health, length of life, and longevity, while at the same time posessing the power of control over all the conditions, that influence these processes. This is a complete system of interventions and regulatory controls, the biopolitics of the population. This is the authority of encouragement, guidance, regulation and control, through which bodies and lives are managed. Schools, barracks, prisons, psychiatric institutions have been developed as instruments of population regulation as well as public healthcare and mandatory vaccinations, which enable subjection of bodies and population control. In western European coutries vaccination is mostly voluntary, while in Slovenia and other southern and eastern European countries immunisation is mandatory. Failure to comply with the law is a misdemeanor with the threat of a monetary fine.

Spanje je ena izmed osnovnih življenjskih potreb vsakega posameznika. Kako dragoceno je spanje, po katerem se zbudimo spočiti in naspani, pa se pogosto zavemo šele takrat, ko spanca ni več. Ker v postelji preživimo tretjino svojega časa, je zelo pomembno, da ta čas preživimo oziroma prespimo kakovostno. Ponudba ležišč v Sloveniji presega povpraševanje. Posamezniki imajo na razpolago veliko izbirno območje, a ker je konkurenca med ponudniki vsak dan ostrejša, se nam je pojavilo vprašanje, kako se posameznik odloči za nakup določenega ležišča. Se odloča na podlagi blagovne znamke, cene, garancije, preizkusa, naravnih materialov ali zgolj na podlagi oglasov, priporočil prijateljev in znancev, prodajnega osebja ali prodajnega mesta? To je vprašanje, ki smo ga želeli raziskati in prikazati ključne dejavnike procesa odločanja, ki vplivajo na posameznika in ga privedejo do odločitve za nakup oz. nenakup ležišča. Teoretični del magistrskega dela je predstavljen v drugem poglavju. S pomočjo izbranega gradiva s področja problematike na področju nakupnega vedenja porabnikov smo opredelili kulturne, družbene, osebne in psihološke dejavnike nakupnega vedenja. Predstavili smo proces odločanja pri nakupu ležišča ter dejavnike, ki vplivajo nanj, ter opredelili stopnje procesa odločanja. V tretjem in četrtem poglavju smo predstavili trg ležišč v Sloveniji in ključne dejavnike procesa odločanja pri nakupu ležišča. V drugem delu magistrskega dela predstavljamo raziskavo ključnih dejavnikov procesa odločanja pri nakupu ležišča in njihovo pomembnost. Ugotovili smo, da so osebe, vključene v raziskavo, izrazito racionalne. Na njih ne vpliva samo ena informacija, en oglas, ampak več dejavnikov. Ključni dejavniki, ki vplivajo na proces odločanju pri nakupu ležišča, na podlagi rezultatov raziskave, so: priporočila prijateljev in znancev kot glavni viri informacij, naravni materiali kot glavna značilnost ležišča ter garancija ležišča kot daleč najpomembnejša dodatna storitev pri nakupu ležišča. Podrobnejše ugotovitve in predloge za ponudnike ležišč smo strnili v zaključnem delu magistrskega dela. ; Sleep is one of primary human needs. But we are often not aware of the value of a good night's sleep that leaves us feeling rested until it's gone. Since we spend a third of our lives in bed, it is very important to spend or sleep those years in a quality way. Selection of mattresses in Slovenia exceeds their demand. People have a vast area of selection at their disposal, but since the competition among providers stiffens every day, we asked ourselves how somebody decides to buy a certain mattress. Does he or she decide on the basis of a brand, price, warranty, test, natural materials, or solely on the basis of ads, recommendations of friends and acquaintances, sales personnel, point of sale? This is the issue we wanted to explore and present the key factors in the decision making process, which influence a person and lead him to decide to buy or not to buy a certain mattress. The master's thesis is essentially divided to two parts ; the theoretical and practical part. We can say that appendices represent the third part, because they contain more extensive tables and computer print-outs, which served as the basis for the research part. The theoretical part of the thesis is presented in the second chapter. By means of the selected material in the problem area relating to the purchase behaviour of users, we defined cultural, social, personal and psychological factors of purchase behaviour. We introduced the decision-making process when buying a mattress and the factors influencing it, and defined the levels of the decision-making process. In the third and fourth chapter we present the mattress market in Slovenia and the key factors in the decision making process when buying a mattress. The second part of the thesis presents the research of key factors in the decision-making process when buying a mattress and their significance. We have determined that persons included in the research are distinctly rational. They are not influenced by one single piece of information, one ad, but by several factors. The key factors, which influence the decision-making process when buying a mattress, on the basis of the research results, include: recommendations of friends and acquaintances as the main sources of information, natural materials as the main feature of a mattress, and warranty of mattress as the far most important additional service in the purchase of a mattress. More detailed findings and proposals for providers of mattresses were summed up in the final part of the thesis.

Magistrska diplomska naloga nosi naslov Odločanje Sodišča Evropske unije o pristojnosti. V nalogi sem sprva opisala temeljna načela, ki so vodilo delovanja Sodišča Evropske unije, ter se seznanila z njihovo uporabo in razlago v praksi. Ugotovila sem, da med pravnim redom Evropske unije in pravnimi redi držav članic velja načelo nadrejenosti ter da je pravni red Evropske unije superioren. Sledilo je raziskovanje, kako Sodišče Evropske unije odloča o pristojnosti, pri čemer sem spoznala, da ima Sodišče Evropske unije zelo pomembno vlogo, ko odloča o razmejitvi pristojnosti med državo članico ter Evropsko unijo. S sodno prakso namreč riše mejo med avtonomnostjo države članice ter posegi v njeno avtonomnost s strani Evropske unije. Nato sem opisala in spoznavala kakšne so njegove pristojnosti ter kakšni so postopki, ki jih Sodišče Evropske unije uporablja pri svojem odločanju. Ugotovila sem, da je temeljna naloga Sodišča Evropske unije skrbeti za enotno razlago in uporabo prava Evropske unije. Ugotovila sem, da Sodišče Evropske unije skozi sodno prakso čedalje bolj širi svoje pristojnosti in krepi svojo vlogo v razmerju do držav članic, čeprav v praksi vse države članice temu niso prav naklonjene. Na koncu naloge sem opisala in pojasnila, kako so se pristojnosti Sodišča Evropske unije okrepile po sprejemu Lizbonske pogodbe, ter poskušala poiskati razlike ter podobnosti med sistemom delitve oblasti v Evropski uniji ter sistemom delitve oblasti v zvezni državi, predvsem s strani odločanja Sodišča Evropske unije ter njegovih pristojnosti. ; In this assignment, I first described the fundamental principles that constitute the functioning of the Court of Justice of the European Union, and took note of their application and interpretation into practice. I have discovered that the principle of superiority is applied between the legal order of Member States and the rule of European Union in which the legal order of the European Union is superior. This was followed by a study of how the European Court of Justice decides on jurisdiction, and I realized that the Court of Justice of the European Union plays a very important role in deciding on the delimitation of competences between a Member State and the European Union. Through its case-law the Court of Justice of the European Union draws the boundary between the autonomy of a Member State and interference with Member States' autonomy by the European Union. I then described and learned about what its competences are and what are the procedures used by the Court of Justice of the European Union in its decision-making. I have found out that the fundamental task of the Court of Justice of the European Union is to ensure uniform interpretation and application of European Union law. I have found that the Court of Justice of the European Union increasingly expands its jurisdiction through jurisprudence and strengthens its role vis-à ; -vis Member States, although in practice all Member States do not favor this right. At the end of the thesis, I described and explained how the jurisdiction of the Court of Justice of the European Union was strengthened after the adoption of the Lisbon Treaty, and sought to find differences and similarities between the system of division of power in the European Union and the system of division of power in the federal state, notably through the decision-making of the Court and its powers.

V pričujočem delu se avtorica loteva raziskovanja terapevtovega doživljanja terapevtskega odnosa in sicer skozi prizmo navezanosti. Teoretični uvod tako predstavlja podrobno predstavitev teorije navezanosti od Bowlbyja naprej. Avtorica pregleda zgodovino koncepta kot tudi njegov razvoj in etiologijo. Drugi del teoretičnega uvoda je sestavljen iz predstavitve koncepta terapevtskega delovnega odnosa in njegove implikacije za terapevtsko delo. Avtorica se znova poglobi v razumevanje koncepta in skuša slediti njegovemu razvoju. Delo nato preide na raziskovalni del. Avtorico je zanimalo, kako terapevti doživljajo terapevtski odnos skozi lečo navezanosti. Za ta namen je terapevtski odnos razdelila na tri faze – fazo prednavezanosti, ki jo zaznamuje vzpostavljanje kontakta in učenje pravil terapevtskega dela, sledi ji faza oblikovanja navezanosti, kjer je dinamika že utečena, klienti pa opažajo prve spremembe v svojem življenju, in zadnja faza, torej faza navezanosti, ki jo oblikuje visoka stopnja zaupanja, jasna komunikacija med klientom in terapevtom in dobra delovna aliansa. Avtorica je za namen naloge intervjuvala osem terapevtov in podatke, pridobljene v teh intervjujih analizirala s pomočjo kvalitativne metode fenomenološke raziskave. Ugotovitve so pokazale, da se doživljanje terapevtov v veliki meri sklada z do sedaj aktualno teorijo. V fazi prednavezanosti so terapevti poročali o tem, da se odnos šele oblikuje, zaupanje vzpostavlja, komunikacija še usklajuje. V fazi oblikovanja navezanosti terapevti poročajo o naraščajočem zaupanju in opažanju sprememb in v zadnji fazi poročajo o močni navezanosti in z rastjo odnosa vedno bolj enakovreden odnos med terapevtom in klientom. To je tudi obdobje, ko klient in terapevt načrtujeta zaključek. Raziskovalno delo je avtorici ponudilo vpogled v globoko doživljanje terapevtskih odnosov s strani terapevta, spoznala je izzive, s katerimi se terapevti srečujejo pri svojem delu, pa tudi dobrobiti terapevtskega dela. V svojem delu je avtorica izpostavila tudi pomanjkanje informacij s področja raziskovanja terapevtske perspektive. ; In the current master thesis, the author is exploring a therapists' perception of psychotherapy process through the lens of attachment. The theoretical part consists of precise description of ontogeny of the attachment theory from his beginner, John Bowlby. The author follows the history and etiology of the mentioned concept. The other part of the master thesis consists of presentation of the working alliance concept and its indication for therapeutic work. Author tries to get an overall understanding about the concept, its origins and current implications. In the current master thesis, the author was interested in therapists' perception of psychotherapy relationship through the attachment perspective. To enquire about it she divided the attachment process on three main stages – the preattachment stage, characterized by first contact and establishment of communication, second stage, namely attachment in the making stage, where the trust and therapy framework is already established and clients can see first changes, and last, third phase that is the attachment phase, where therapist and clients have high level of trust, good communication and good working alliance. Author interviewed eight therapists and analyzed the information from the interviews via phenomenological research. Results have shown that the way therapists from the research see their relationships folds well with the current theory from the field. In the preattachment stage the therapist spoke about the way the relationship has yet to be built, the trust has yet to be gained and communication is still on shaky grounds. In the second, attachment in the making phase, therapists observe deeper trust, clients start seeing changes in their lives and in the last, attachment phase they describe the relationship as of one of strong attachment. With continuation of the relationship the relationship itself become more of an equal one and is, as such, slowly transcending into the conclusion phase. The research work enabled the author to see the depth of the therapists' experiencing of the relationships they make with their clients, she get to know the challenges of the therapeutic relationships and also the benefits of it. As a conclusion, the author exposes the lack of information available on research done of exploring the therapists' perspective.

Zadnje desetletje se veliko govori o ogroženosti našega planeta, ki je zaradi vse hitrejšega razvoja industrij in čedalje večje gostote prometa posledica onesnaževanja okolja. Zaradi tega se dandanes srečujemo z enim izmed glavnih okoljskih izzivov, podnebnimi spremembami. Vemo, da onesnaževanje povzročajo vse oblike transporta, a vendar smo se v nalogi omejili samo na cestni promet. In kako bi rešili ta problem? Seveda z uporabo okolju prijaznih vozil. A vendar se tukaj potem srečamo z drugim problemom, kako kupca prepričati v takšen nakup. Zato se bomo v magistrski nalogi osredotočili na dejavnike, ki vplivajo na odločitve o nakupu okolju prijaznih vozil. Reševanja, kako bi kupca pripravili za nakup okolju prijaznega vozila, smo se lotili s spletno anketo (glede različnih okoljskih vprašanj ter nefinančnih in finančnih vidikov). Ker smo želeli videti, kako razmišljajo ljudje izven Slovenije, smo si izbrali dve državi ‒ Španijo in Poljsko (z različnih koncev Evrope). V naši spletni anketi je sodelovalo okoli 350 anketirancev v vsaki državi. Na podlagi okoljskih vprašanj smo anketirance razdelili v tri skupine, kar je bilo zelo smiselno, saj smo tako prišli do njihovih mnenj o okolju in okolju prijaznih vozilih. ; Last decade, there is a lot of talking about the endangerment of our planet due to faster industry development and heavy traffic pollution. Regarding the pollution problem, today we are facing one of the main environment challenges – climate changes. We know, that all kinds of transport causes the pollution, but we nevertheless limited only to road traffic. And how to solve this problem? With use of environmentally friendly vehicles. But again there is another problem, how to convince a consumer to buy that kind of vehicle. That is why we focused on factors that influence on decisions of buying eco-friendly vehicles in our paper work. For solving the problem regarding the decision of buying eco-friendly vehicle, we used a web survey. It contained several different environmental questions and none financial and financial point of views. We wanted to see how people outside of Slovenia are thinking, so we have chosen two countries from different parts of Europe, Spain and Poland. In our web survey, there were about 350 people questioned from each country. Regarding the environmental questions, we divided the interviewees into three groups. That is how we got their opinion about environment and eco-friendly vehicles.

Abstract. Crisis response planning can never fully prevent a certain amount of improvisation given that, in some cases, it is necessary, if not even desirable. This article analyses the research question on the relationship between crisis planning and improvisation in theory and with respect to the Covid-19 epidemic in Slovenia. Despite existing systemic recommendations, normative and to some extent operational crisis preparedness, our analysis of the country's response reveals improvisation in several key elements: planning, decision-making, coordination and crisis communication. The quite considerable improvisation seen with the epidemic is the outcome of its unexpected dimensions, the absence of a comprehensive crisis management plan, and individual actors' insufficient crisis management competences. It has been reflected in the establishing of specialised ad hoc structures, overnight decisions and their sudden reversals, and often in inconsistent and inappropriate communication with the public. The Law Amending the General Administrative Procedure Act refers to a variety of provisions. New solutions should contribute to a more rapid, more efficient and more cost-effective procedure. Primarily due to elimination of the inconsistent use of individual provisions in practice, the amending law regulates more definitely the issues of authorizing the persons to manage and make decisions at different decision-making levels in administrative procedures in municipalities. The law also develops electronic operations and it especially amends the electronic service provisions. There is a fairly large number of amendments in the Service Chapter. And an important novelty needs to be emphasized. This is the institute of the waiver of the right to appeal which the General Administrative Procedure Act did not know. The paper discusses the characteristics of modern American presidential political rhetoric with special reference to Barack Obama's speeches in which he addressed the highly publicized killings of black Americans. Three of the analysed speeches contain Obama's rhetorical reaction to the judicial decisions not to indict the police officers responsible for the killings, while one speech gives his immediate reaction to the mass murder of black parishioners by a white supremacist. The study is based on the discourse-linguistic analysis of attitudinal meanings and their functions, which are conceptualized as evaluative frames. Evaluative frames are used to highlight different kinds of discourse participants through judgments of behaviour, attributions of emotions and evaluations of semiotic phenomena and objects. The theoretical framework for the different categories of evaluative frames is based on the theory of news framing and theory of evaluative language within systemic-functional linguistics. The findings of the analysis show that Obama uses an interplay of positive and negative evaluations of different kinds to transcend racial categorizations and avoid a direct attribution of blame. Trije od analiziranih govorov vsebujejo Obamov odziv na sodne odločitve, ki so zavrnile obtožbo policistov, odgovornih za uboj, v enem od govorov pa se je odzval na množični umor temnopoltih faranov s strani belega skrajneža. Študija temelji na analizi jezikovnih kategorij vrednotenja, ki so pojmovane kot okviri vrednotenja. Okviri vrednotenja udeležence v diskurzu osvetlijo s presojami vedenja in pripisovanja čustev ter z vrednotenjem predmetov in pojavov. Koncept okvirov vrednotenja temelji na spoznanjih teorije medijske komunikacije in teorije jezika vrednotenja v sistemsko-funkcijskem jezikoslovju. Ugotovitve analize kažejo, da Obama uporablja preplet pozitivnih in negativnih vrednotenj različnih vrst, da bi presegel rasno kategorizacijo in se izognil neposrednemu pripisovanju krivde. Raziskava pokaže tudi, da Obama rasne razdelitve pogosto uokvirja tako, da udeležence na nasprotnih straneh poenoti z istim okvirom.

In the article we report a series of experiments
with volunteers designed to detect differences in behavioural characteristics among Slovenian, Dutch and
international students. Using eight standard tasks from
experimental economics, we investigate the differences
using experimental measures of solidarity, trust, cooperation, positive and negative reciprocity, competition,
honesty, and risk attitudes. No significant cohort effects
in any of the eight decisions are found when we compare the Slovenian and international cohorts. Still, when
comparing the Dutch and Slovenian cohorts, Dutch
students are found to exhibit lower levels of solidarity,
generosity and honesty. This points to differences in sociality between institutionally similar yet ideologically distant countries like Slovenia and the Netherlands.

Termin samoodločbe je zapisan v ustanovitvenih dokumentih večine državnih ustav ter mednarodnega prava, prav tako pa predstavlja sredstvo za legitimizacijo države ter nadnacionalnega reda. Točna definicija in njeni parametri pa so v resnici stvar debate, ne glede na to ali izhajajo iz logike notranjosti državniškega sistema ali iz logike njegove zunanjosti. Magistrsko delo najprej sledi "klasičnemu" pojmu samoodločbe v njegovi zgodovinski partikularnosti znotraj mednarodnega sistema, pri čemer poudari veliko napetost med samoodločbo in državno suverenostjo. Nakar se obrne h kritični politični teoriji, da bi izkopalo definicijo samoodločbe, pri kateri popusti poseben odnos samoodločbe z državnim sistemom in pojmom suverenosti. Takšno pojmovanje samoodločbe je za potrebe naloge poimenovano "rizomatično" in se nato uporabi pri analizi štirih primerov z namenom, da se pokaže, kako lahko tak pojem samoodločbe uporabimo za razumevanje možnosti, ki jih vzpostavljajo najnovejša politična gibanja. Temeljni argument magistrskega dela je, da ko jih razumemo v okvirju državnega sistema kot sedanjo ali prihodnjo "aktivno" pravico, se dejanja samoodločbe zreducirajo na normativni determinizem zgodovinsko kontingentnih odnosov sil, saj se bodisi ujamejo v pogoje obstoječih dejavnikov znotraj konstituiranega sistema bodisi njihovo uresničitev pogojuje učinkovitost sile, ki jo lahko izvršujejo, da bi izničili funkcije sistema, ki slonijo na obstoječih pravilih. Ko pa jo razumemo onkraj zaprte logike državnega sistema, lahko samoodločba pomeni izražanje neomejene konstituirajoče oblasti in kolektivne imaginacije, ki sprosti nove vektorje možnosti človeških političnih odnosov. ; The notion of 'self-determination' is enshrined in the founding documents of international law and most state constitutions as a means of legitimating the current state and supranational order. However, its precise definition and parameters are the subject of debate—both when understood from within the logic of the state system and from outside it. This thesis situates the "classic" notion of self-determination within its particular historical position inside the international system, highlighting its deep tension with the norm of state sovereignty, before turning to critical political theory to unearth a definition of self-determination wherein its particular relationship to the state system and the total notion of sovereignty is relaxed. This conception of self-determination is, for the purposes of this thesis, termed 'rhizomatic,' and applied to four case studies to demonstrate how it might be used to understand the possibilities created by recent political movements. The primary argument of this thesis is that, when understood inside the state system as a present or future 'active' right, acts of determination reduce to the normative determinism of historically contingent relations of force because they are either resolved on the terms of existing actors within the constituted system or by the effectiveness of force they can exert to deny the system's function based on its previous rules. However, when understood beyond the closed logic of the state system, self-determination can be taken to mean manifestations of boundless constitutive power and collective imagination that unleash new vectors of possibility for human political relations.

Erasmus+ je program Evropske Unije (EU) na področju izobraževanja, usposabljanja, mladine in športa, ki omogoča mednarodno učno mobilnost. Tako Evropska komisija kot akademski strokovnjaki velikokrat navajajo Erasmus+ za uspešen primer evropske integracije in kot spodbujevalec evropske identitete. To magistrsko delo s pomočjo interpretativne paradigme poskuša osvetliti presečišče med teorijo evropskih integracij, vrednotenjem programa Erasmus+ in osmišljanjem evropske identitete. Analiza EU dokumentov je pokazala, da termin evropska identiteta izrazito nekonsistentno uporabljen znotraj upravljavskih organov EU. Poleg tega se je pomen evropske identitete, kakor jo je navzven predstavljala Skupnost, od sedemdesetih let prejšnjega stoletja naprej izrazito spreminjal. Prvotni zunanje-politični pomen je zamenjalo vrednotenje evropske identitete v odnosu do nacionalne države. Raziskave na področju vplivov programa Erasmus+ (oziroma mednarodne mobilnosti) na izgradnjo evropske identitete sicer prinašajo zelo različne rezultate, skoraj vse pa pesti problem metodološkega nacionalizma. Učinki programa Erasmus+ so sicer pozitivni, vendar težko ovrednoteni, saj so se od začetkov programa leta 1987 do danes drastično spreminjali. Opazna je neoliberalna logika prostega pretoka delovne sile v smislu spodbujanja mednarodne mobilnosti in posledično izgrajevanja konkurenčnega trga delovne sile na katerem štejejo kompetence posameznika/ posameznice. ; Erasmus+ is the European Union's (the EU) programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport, which enables international learning mobility. Both the European Commission and academic experts often cite Erasmus+ as a successful example of European integration and as a facilitator of a European identity. This thesis seeks to illuminate the intersection between the theory of European integration, the evaluation of the Erasmus + programme and European identity. This is done with interpretive paradigm. An analysis of the EU' documents has shown that the term European identity is used in a highly inconsistent way within the EU's bodies. In addition, the meaning of European identity, as initially represented by the Community, has changed markedly since the 1970s. The original meaning reflected the foreign policy aspirations of the Community ; later this was replaced with the emphasis of European identity in relation to the nation-state. Research in the field of measuring the impact of the Erasmus+ programme (or international mobility) on the construction of the European identity brings a variety of results. The common problem of such research is the one of methodological nationalism. The effects of the Erasmus+ programme are positive, but difficult to evaluate, as they have changed drastically since the beginning of the programme in 1987. The neoliberal logic behind the free movement of labour is noticeable, especially in the light of boosting international mobility to create a competitive labour market, where one's competencies are all that matters.

Use of stimulating activities in social work with people with dementia
With growing number of cases of dementia, social work with people with dementia faces new challenges in maintaining dignity in the lives of people with dementia and their families. The article discusses the importance of continuous implementation of various stimulating activities for people with dementia in homes for older people (which are also suitable for implementation in home environment), and their well-being, maintenance of self-worth and self-esteem. Stimulating activities are non-pharmacological forms of care and include various areas: daily tasks (in household and garden), physical exercise, cognitive exercises, as well as complementary activities such as: music and visual arts activities, playing with babies, incorporating modern information technologies, aromatherapy. Stimulating activities can be provided by social workers, occupational therapists and other professionals. Their goal is to maintain cognitive abilities, slow the progression of dementia, and promote well-being of people with dementia. In stimulating activities, the person with dementia, together with a professional, discovers activities that they can manage and enjoy. This leads to reduction in the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.

Discussions of political metaphors provide fertile grounds for understanding issues in political theory and political practice. The article departs from the established theoretical and methodological approaches to political metaphor (e.g., classical, conceptual, hermeneutical, cognitive) to introduce (post)structuralist and (post)Marxist methodological and theoretical bases. It maintains that the established approaches to the study of functionalities and ontologies of political metaphors are possible, primarily by researching their functioning in political discourses and as events in the power/truth dispositive. Metaphors can be researched as specific political technologies (strategies of power) that influence/create regimes of truth. This issue focuses on the digitalisation of education and on utilising technology in teaching and learning. This is not a new topic for the magazine – and with good reason. Both in theory and practice, incorporating ICT into education is a constantly developing field and process; new knowledge and developments are introduced into the practice of teaching more quickly than they are into various official strategies. "Digital transformation" is a term used in politics and at the decision-making level to describe the various processes and recommendations to governments about incorporating technology use in schools. Recently, these processes have been guided by the European Commission's (2021) Digital Education Action Plan. In this and similar strategies, it is important to distinguish between the processes of "digitisation", "digitalisation" and "digital transformation" (Schmidt & Tang, 2020). ; Tokratna tematska številka Andragoških spoznanj se posveča digitalizaciji izobraževanja in vključevanju sodobnih tehnologij v procese učenja. To temo smo v reviji že večkrat obravnavali – z razlogom. Uvajanje IKT v izobraževalni proces je namreč področje in proces, ki se nenehno razvija – teoretsko, pa tudi v praksi –, spoznanja pa se hitreje kot v različne strategije vpeljujejo kar v samo prakso poučevanja. »Digitalna preobrazba« je pojem, s katerim se predvsem na politični, odločevalski ravni opisujejo različni procesi in priporočila vladam glede vključevanja tehnologije v šole. V zadnjem času te procese usmerja zlasti Akcijski načrt za digitalno izobraževanje, ki ga pripravlja Evropska komisija (2021). V tej in podobnih strategijah je treba ločevati med procesi »digitizacije« (angl. digitisation), digitalizacije in pa »digitalne preobrazbe« (Schmidt in Tang, 2020).
