The text is part of a doctoral research process in education, and dialogues, in an essayistic manner, with themes such as the city, images, body and everyday affective crossings. These dialogues tension with education, history, daily life and other ways of thinking about the urban tangle, anchored in the cartographic method. Through formative processes experienced by the author, seek to evidence issues, concerns and discomforts that are still unstable, rehearsed in everyday life and outlined in thought and inventions. It argues that the power of creation and wandering in the city are insurgent ways of ruptures in the face of current conservative advances, paying attention to the exercise of otherness, inventiveness and experimentation, having as main references authors such as Michel Foucault, Suely Rolnik, Félix Guattari , Peter Pelbart, among others.
Liquidity has become a metaphor for a contemporary society in which, paradoxically, the only stability lies in the ephemeral; social forms and identities change too quickly to become sedimented. This article argues, however, that in the global city understood as a space of flows, certain social relations -for example, the link between consumer and commodity- have crystallized. This social, economic and political relation has favored the emergence of a corporeal subjectivity in which the body is not simply a means but an end in itself. The body is approached here as a dual entity that is at once both subjective (the consumer body) and objectified (the commodified body), a ghostly entity ideally adapted to and functional in consumer society.
This paper sought to analyze the power dynamics that govern bodies and conduct among practitioners of erotic BDSM. It adopts a Foucauldian perspective in order to anchor the analysis of fetishistic practices under the fulcrum of power games and relationships. The method adopted involved observations and interviews, and keeping a field diary. Analysis of the research corpus was based on a Foucauldian enunciative approach used to highlight a list of utterances, practices, and rules of conduct that are linked to a dense network of power relationships between practitioners. In conclusion, we question the degree of rupture from and reproduction of the hegemonic sexual matrix that is experienced by practitioners. We also point out the importance for organizational studies of undertaking studies into the multiplicity of dissident sexualities in their political struggle and resistance process. This essay intends to reflect on how sexuality has been circumscribed by some fields of knowledge, especially those related to medicine, and how this affects us in the current social context. Based on the assumption that we are immersed in a network of devices that are a condition of our own existence, we especially examine the experiences related to genres and sexualities that escape from the established normative framework, seeking to locate its political dimensions from some elements extracted from the elaborations of the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan and the philosophers Judith Butler and Giorgio Agamben. We intend to keep on sight the question related to the modes of resistance and inventions that we can produce being within that network. We approached the subject revisiting some notions that were incorporated into the medical field – especially that of psychiatry – and then, more specifically, we analyzed some trans experiences that have occupied space in the mass media and social networks. These reports, when revealing something that escapes any attempt of normalization, will subsidize proposals of forms of the political, focusing on the singularities to provoke reflections that can (re)orient our practices in the everyday life.
; The current article draws on Judith Butler's gender performativity theory to analyse two classical text of Greek Antiquity – theBacchaeby Euripides and TheRepublicby Plato. The concept of gender performativity will be used to illustrate analogously even anachronically, how much the Greek imaginary, in spite of being temporally distant, can fruitfully contribute to, what we would identify as one of the most sophisticated contemporary theories in contemporary gender studies, both as this imaginary emerges from the literary discourse of the tragedy or the discourse of philosophy. This will allow us to show how the two above mentioned texts can contribute to the contemporary debate on the critical theory of gender identity, as these are fixed in performative acts that make gender conform to anatomic sex, limiting gender to the two possibilities of masculine or feminine. Considering the historical context and the question that are specific to the world of Ancient Greece, our analysis will permit us to cast light, in particular, on the strategies that Plato and Euripides drew on to disrupt the gender norms of the polis. Examining the texts allows us to argue that in antiquity, as well as in the contemporary world, albeit in different ways, discussions of gender relations are fitted primarily by the political discourse regarding these relations.

In the countdown to the upcoming European elections, analysts have been increasingly paying attention to the political alternatives that intend to undermine the current status quo in Brussels. Within this group, the radical right is preparing to expand its presence in the European Parliament, set to be strengthened by the Lisbon Treaty. This article explores the way these parties have dealt with the European institutions over the last decades, the changes they have been through, as well as the challenges that lie ahead. Although the socioeconomic scenario might favour its ambitions, the radical right still needs to cope with its internal fragilities. Adapted from the source document.
