Veyor® is a trademark of Idea Works, Inc. It is a text analysis program that performs, either by itself or in combination with programs such as Qualrus® and Globalpoint®, not only word category counts, but also sentiment analysis. According to a newspaper article about a recent application to a campaign for the US Senate elections (Reed, 2010), the sentiment towards the candidates in blogs and newspapers as extracted by Globalpoint® predicted the outcome of the elections more accurately than a telephone survey. Candidates received positive or negative points based on what was being said about key issues in the race and were categorized under headings such as 'government,' 'economy,' 'personal' and subsets such as 'free market' and 'tax issues'.

The recent mass digitization of text data has led to a need to efficiently and effectively deal with the mountain of textual data that is generated. Digitized text is increasingly in the form of digitized data flows (Brent, 2008). Digitized data flows are non-static streams of generated content – including twitter, electronic news, etc. An oft-cited statistic is that currently 85% of all business data is in the form of text (cited in Hotho, Nürnberger & Paass, 2005). This mountain of data leads us to the question whether the labor-intensive traditional qualitative data analysis techniques are best suited for this large amount of data. Other techniques for dealing with large amounts of data may also be found wanting because those techniques remove the researcher from an immersion in the data. Both dealing with large amounts of data and allowing immersion in data are clearly desired features of any text analysis system.

Compromises have long been considered as the most important ingredient for the success of the Belgian and Dutch pacification democracy. The trick is to find one another in the middle was by politicians but also by political scientists (Lijphart, 1977) and analysts as an ideal put forward. Koen Koch described this a little whimpering but striking in a commentary on the policies of the second Cabinet Cook (1998-2002), in which Liberals and Social Democrats sat together: 'The color of political success in the Netherlands is not purple, but gray' (Koch, 1999). Adapted from the source document.
The text is in the form of a letter addressed to the author by a friend, signed at the end (p. 91): Q.N. Rotterdam 23 Jan. 1781. In the preface the author states that it is a commentary, written at his suggestion, in response to a pamphlet entitled "Het politieck systema van de regeering van Amsterdam," attributed to Hendrik Calkoen. The subject in part is the unauthorized negotiations for a commercial treaty between the burgomasters of Amsterdam and the United States. Attributed to Elie Luzac by Knuttel.
