Model multiplikace regionalnich sportebnich vydaju
In: Politická ekonomie: teorie, modelování, aplikace, Volume 53, Issue 5, p. 647-660
ISSN: 0032-3233
The purpose of this model is to measure the impact of localization of new (mostly industrial) enterprises in strategic industrial zone in regional economy. Model deals with multiplication effect of regional consumption expenditures, which is (among others) strongly affecting development of regional economy. For modeling the regional consumption demand or regional consumption expenditures there was used mainly microeconomic approach based on utility & profit maximization. The model is based on several simplifying assumptions for better use in real applications (mainly because of lack of relevant regional data). This model was used in practice for ex-ante evaluation of impact of strategic industrial zone in Cheb but it could be applied widely (after some modifications) for anticipation of regional impacts of demand shocks, regional migration, investments etc. Graphs, References. MAKROEKONOMETRICKY MODEL EUROZONY
In: Politická ekonomie: teorie, modelování, aplikace, Volume 63, Issue 3
ISSN: 0032-3233
The aim of this paper is the formulation and econometric estimation of a small macroeconomic model, which is intended to provide an understanding of fundamental economic relationships in the eurozone. Unemployment is used to represent real economic activity. Phillips curve links unemployment with inflation and Taylor rule describes the monetary policy of the European Central Bank. The results from econometric estimation indicate that interest rate policy of the European Central Bank has only a very limited effect on unemployment. Furthermore, the reaction coefficient for inflation in the Taylor rule does not support Taylor principle. This paper also presents original method for measuring NAIRU. The proposed method for estimating NAIRU uses probabilities of finding and loosing a job. These probabilities are made endogenous in the model, which is the main contribution of the paper. Příčiny vojenského převratu: syntetizovaný kauzální model ; Causes of Military Coup: A Synthesized Causal Model
The article is an advancement of a preceding text which analyzed particular substantive theories of military coup in mainstream Anglo-Saxon political science literature. It provides a synthesis analysis of the previously analyzed literature specialized in military coup research, and because each substantive theory provides explanations of the occurrence of military coups through different independent variables, these factors are categorized for research purposes. Working with the definition of a military coup, the article's goal is to set ten separate theories together into a formal concept of the military coup and express it by means of a synthesized causal model. This model contains individual premises of existing research and constitutes a conceptual framework for the formulation of "the hammer and anvil theory" of military coup. The "hammer" signifies the capacity and commitment of the army to effect a change of government by the use of force or under the threat of it. The "anvil" represents factors which delegitimize a government and de facto hamper its ability to escape the "hammer" blow. ; The article is an advancement of a preceding text which analyzed particular substantive theories of military coup in mainstream Anglo-Saxon political science literature. The Sociological Data Archive (SDA) was founded in 1998, & it is the only institution that systematically provides access to data files from quantitative sociological surveys. The main access to the data library is provided on the Internet. The SDA also pays great attention to promoting secondary analysis & the employment of existing data sources & cooperates in organizing large research projects, especially the Czech participation in the ISSP. The SDA is a member of the CESSDA (Council of European Social Science Data Archives). This also means that the Archive can mediate access to materials stored in other social science data archives in Europe. The full inclusion of the SDA's services into an international network is connected to the adoption of international standards (DDI, XML technology), which is planned for the future. In recent years two qualitative data archives have also been established, the Czech Archive of Qualitative Data & Documents & the Digital Archive of Soft Data MEDARD. The Czech Statistical Office provides data services in the field of official statistics.
