The members belonged to the bourgeoisie and the aristocracy class, and its purpose was to promote artistic and social-cultural initiatives in support of gender equality. Amongst these women, was Concepción Méndez Cuesta, who was known for the contributions she made to the revitalization of the Spanish cultural panorama during the '20s and '30s of last century, as well as for the exposure her editorial and printer work provided while working alongside her husband, Altolaguirre, a member of Generation '27. Through the domains of reality and dreams projected by the poet from Madrid, the vigorous collective and personal project is explored beyond its inadequacies and it launched post-civil war settling with the exile and the shadowing of other groups ; [ES] En 1926 y durante un convulsivo periodo político fue fundado en Madrid el Lyceum Club femenino cuyas socias, pertenecientes a la burguesía y a la aristocracia, promovieron acciones artísticas y socio culturales a favor de una equidad entre hombres y mujeres. Prison as a penal agency of the State strengthens, consolidates and intensifies, over those who inhabit it social meanings that place the detainee as surplus, excess and defect. From the theoretical perspective of cultural studies, we recognize communication as a field of material and symbolic fight where the senses that constitute us are disputed. In that sense, registering the experience of the workshop of communication and journalism in two prisons in the south of the province of Santa Fe (Argentina), we will investigate the subjective, institutional and political effects generated by the communication practices of the everyday life in confinement.

The current political framework requires the recovery of the initial purposes of cultural studies and cultural geography. It means to take into account the interdisciplinary and committed character of the production of knowledge, the interaction between culture and political and economic realms, and the critical articulation among space and culture. Within this framework the starting points of the paper are the foundational aims of cultural studies that nourished neomarxist cultural geographies and the subsequent cultural turn. Aftewards, through the work of Nancy Fraser, an interpretive proposal is presented that seeks to draw a bridge between these perspectives and the requests of present cultural politics. Finally and from the reading of Henri Lefebvre carried out by Edward Soja, critical perspectives on the space and their cultural connotations, or on the culture and their spatial connotations are reconsidered. Conclusions offer some research issues arisen from the theoretical proposal.

This essay aims to ponder over how patriarchy has built a female otherness located in a position of inferiority, especially since the creation of what I call the nominating group that builds brand and sign pointing inferiority -in this case anchored in the genital difference, which founded the architecture of sexed bodies, inventing the marked group as a subaltern group. From critical reading of productions of cultural studies, and the use of its key categories such as culture and identity, I intend to make visible the resistance to the patriarchal construction of female otherness, and inquire about the political potential It has identification as «women» for cultural dispute and the dismantling of the trenches of patriarchy.

Translation: The Haunting of THE HEADLESS WOMAN Publication in the Spanish Peer-Reviewed Journal: Tecmerin: Revista de Ensayos Audiovisuales, 2, July 2019 The character of Verónica, played by María Onetto in Lucrecia Martel's film La mujer sin cabeza (2008, Argentina/France/Italy/Spain. Known in Spain as La mujer rubia), is an iconic, if somewhat opaque protagonist. She can't help but recall, for a cinephile viewer at least, a number of other striking, and often doomed, cinematic blondes who travel in cars, including Madeleine/Judy (Kim Novak) in Alfred Hitchock's Vertigo [1958]; Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) in Hitchcock's Psycho (1960); Nan Adams (Inger Stevens) in "The Hitch-Hiker," episode sixteen of the American television anthology series The Twilight Zone (1960, CBS. Episode directed by Alvin Ganzer); and perhaps even Cléo (Corrine Marchand) in Agnès Varda's Cléo de 5 à 7 (1962). But Vero has an even more uncannily similar cinematic sister, her queer kin par excellence: Mary Henry, protagonist of Herk Harvey's 1962 cult independent horror film Carnival of Souls. Mary, played by the equally, if not more, iconic Candace Hilligoss, is a church organist haunted by ghosts. In many ways, I argue, this character and other aspects of Harvey's film haunt La mujer sin cabeza. But this is no secret haunting; it is part of a deliberate act of homage, both to B-movie horror in general as well as specifically to Carnival of Souls, as acknowledged, if not elaborated on in any detail, by Martel herself in an interview with Scott Foundas in 2008.[1] My video essay focuses on this conscious but profound act of intertextuality by exploring in detail the plane of meanings potentially lent to La mujer sin cabeza by its careful and highly subtle practices of allusion to the 1962 film, ones not solely based on similarity but also on divergence and variation. As always in my research on the recognition of cinematic interconnectedness, within the specific fields of transtextuality that Gérard Genette called "hypertextuality" and "intertextuality,"[2] I adhere to the following quotation from the writing of Mikhail Iampolski: "The intertext constitutes meaning as the work involved in seeking it."[3] The kind of labour, or quest, is particularly rewarding, I have argued,[4] when undertaken through audiovisual mediation, that is, worked through in the same basic form as that of the original films. Working sensuously, temporally, graphically, as well as cognitively and verbally can help to generate a very powerful and persuasive moment by moment understanding of the political and affective subtleties of Martel's filmmaking. This kind of unfolding research can thus add to and complement, in compelling ways, the wide array of written studies of the Argentine filmmaker's oeuvre, including those which have focused on the related questions surrounding the representation of a "machinery of denial" in La mujer sin cabeza.[5] Notes [1] Martel said: "[La mujer sin cabeza] en particular tiene un cierto hermanazgo con Carnival of Souls." In the Q&A documentary with Scott Foundas, featured on the 2010 Strand Releasing DVD of La mujer sin cabeza. This was simply the starting point for my analysis: I am interested in how, not whether, Carnival of Souls is an intertext at work in Martel's 2008 film. [3] Mikhail Iampolski, The Memory of Tiresias: Intertextuality and Film (Berkeley, CA.: University of California Press, 1998), 47. [4] In several earlier articles, I have set out the advantages of audiovisual analytic and compositional practices in the investigation of intertextuality and cinematic allusionism. With their precise juxtapositions of film material, which unfold in real space and time, video essays, or assemblages, like the one above, can introduce us to the "unconscious optics" of particular instances of intertextuality, allowing us not just to know about these, but also to experience them, powerfully, sensually, in this and other cases in my work, through an affectively charged morphing aesthetic. Lidia Blanco explains the efforts she repeatedly made to try to find some new feminine "models" that could successfuly do away with stereotypical gendered behaviours and conventions. However, she acknowledges that she did not succeed, or that she only succeeded while looking for them as, at the end of the day, substituting one model for another leads to nothing but to homogeneity and conformism. As she says, "Re-creating, then, one mythology of woman was the same as creating a class of special beings. a new and distant Heaven. in which one should believe and which one should worship". On the other hand, Blanco talks about the progressively political nature of culture. She ends her article saying that in order to fight for equality, women have often forgotten about her differences and uniqueness. Equality is not to be confused with sameness, Blanco suggests.

The present article aims to reflect on the elements that can constitute a model of feminist cultural criticism, thought from the intersection between the field of feminist studies and critical cultural studies, with the aim of supporting the discussion about the "turnaround cultural" of feminism in Latin America. For this, classical texts of the aforementioned fields are visited to give a historical and epistemological meaning to the proposal and a narrative and political commitment is made by an exercise of "fabulation", in which a metaphor is made of what it means to "make the culture ", from feminist positions, through the novel The Endless History (1979), by Michael Ende, arguing that the defense of Fantasía is equivalent to providing us with other frames of intelligibility, of other paradigms of thought and action, that address address the question of power and commit to projects of social transformation, in specific contexts.
